Chapter 5 "The Battle on the Icy Mountain: A Familiar Contract"

One month had passed since their last encounter, and Drake had secluded himself atop the icy mountain, deep in meditation as he awaited Leo's arrival. Despite Leo's use of the Lock spell, Drake had ventured far across the sea, confident that his adversary would find him. Drake had chosen this remote location for two reasons: to test the extent of Leo's Lock spell and to gain a tactical advantage in the terrain.

When Leo finally appeared, the two warriors were poised for combat. However, Drake was more prepared this time. He swiftly unleashed a surprise attack, conjuring a potent ice spike without any incantation and catching Leo off guard.

Drake launched a surprise attack by casting blizzard  to conceal himself. Although Leo was able to locate Drake, he was caught off guard by the sudden assault and could not evade the potent ice spike that Drake conjured, which immobilized him.

Leo bravely charged ahead, taking the full force of Drake's attack head-on. With quick thinking, he countered with a powerful wing strike, dispelling the blizzard and ascending into the air to launch a deadly air slash. However, Drake was not easily defeated, using an ice shield to defend against the attack and simultaneously casting an ice glance towards the mountain. While Leo was preoccupied with blocking Drake's attack, he failed to notice the massive avalanche that Drake had created from the mountain, hurtling towards him with immense force.

As the battle came to a close, Drake landed a decisive blow on Leo, causing him to fall to the ground. Drake approached to finish him off, but was surprised when Leo suddenly rose to his feet and cast a healing spell on himself. Admitting defeat, Leo proposed a familiar contract to Drake.


Despite his initial anger at not being able to achieve a clear victory, Drake accepted the proposal, and the two entered into a familiar contract. This type of contract established a set of rules and requirements for both the contractor and the familiar to abide by, with the consequence of death for disobedience.

The ritual was completed, and it was time for Drake to give Leo a new name. He chose "Hielo," which meant "ice" in Spanish, and with the new name, Hielo evolved into a more powerful monster and gained a new blessing: the ice attribute. Grateful for his new master, Hielo eagerly awaited Drake's orders. Drake was amazed to learn that a simple name change could have such a profound effect on his new familiar.

Ice Attribute 🧊: This is sub-version of water attribute and grant the user ice resistance/immunity depending on user power and able to control ice magic at will if the user has ice magic.
This attribute is again divided into Complex Magic
(Snow magic , Weather control magic , crystal magic, Ice magic , Water magic)

Drake and Hielo soared through the sky, heading towards a new destination. Despite the breathtaking scenery below, Drake began to feel weary from their long journey. He instructed Hielo to fly higher, ensuring that they remained undetected while he rested.

Before drifting off to sleep, Drake commanded Hielo to notify him when they spotted a suitable forest for hunting or a nearby city or town. As Hielo continued their journey, Drake gave in to exhaustion and fell into a deep slumber, dreaming of the adventures that lay ahead.
