I am going to take out the background information, because it is supposed to tell actors/actresses how to portray a character, and I don't want to ruin some things before you read.

Male: Josh-18, Tyler-18, Michael-16

Female:Jenna-18

Takes place before school at Tyler's house. Tyler is watching tv while eating breakfast.

TYLER

Who would buy that, I mean really?

MICHAEL

(walking in) It doesn't matter. They are making more money than you ever will squirt.

TYLER

Whatever, I'm going to Josh's if you are just going to insult me.

MICHAEL

Woah there friend, I was just making small talk, and I've heard that you like to talk about yourself.

TYLER

(putting papers in his backpack)

That's not true and you know it, and I'm not your friend.

MICHAEL

Okay, well if that's all. (handing Tyler a piece of paper) here.

TYLER

What is this?

MICHAEL

Read it, or do you need someone to do that for you, junior.

TYLER

(reading the note) I can't stand this life anym- What is this for?! (crumpling the paper up and throwing it back at his brother) What is wrong with you!? What will it take for you to leave me alone?

MICHAEL

You want me to leave?

TYLER

Yes, I do. Things were fine without you here. (walking towards the door signaling him to leave)

MICHAEL

Things were fi- ha! You know what, your totally right, things were so great without me here. If I were to leave all your problems would be solved. Is that what you're saying then? (closing the door)

TYLER

Yes, actually, it is. That's exactly what I am saying.

MICHAEL

(giggling) So you would like to be alone again, is that it? Spending every night in an empty house with nobody to talk to, with nobody to call because they are all busy doing other things. You know, that sounds great. You're so pathetic! I'll tell you why mom is never home, she can't stand to be around an attention seeking baby. If dad was still alive, he would tell you to grow up and get a life. Can you imagine that? Your own father telling you to get a life because his son is such a failure.

TYLER

Dad would never say that to me. Maybe just to you...are you speaking from experience there Mikey? (grabbing his keys)

MICHAEL

Do I look like the kind of person that needs to get a life? I have a girlfriend, high grades, and what else...hmm, can you help me think of that last thing? Oh yes, I have dignity.

TYLER

Just leave me alone would you? I mean not everyone can be like you right? Not everyone is perfect.
