Scene Five

I'm just going to jump right in for this one.

Female: Jenna-20, Haley-20

Male: Tyler-20, Michael-18, Josh-20

It has been two years since the day Tyler pushed away his two closest friends. Tyler and Josh have not spoken much since then, and Jenna has been missing since then as well. Tyler has just finished his second year at college, so has Josh. Tyler is dating someone new. This is the first time Tyler has approached Josh in two years.

TYLER

texting Josh

Meet me at my house, we really need to talk. It's been too long.

ring at door, Tyler opens to find Josh looking uneasy

JOSH

TYLER

Listen, I know you're mad at me, but you have to understand; I had no idea who the person was. I just figured it was Jenna because she was the only good thing that I got out of my father's death.

JOSH

standing up looking furious

Understand? How dare you.... I was there for you through the whole thing, but then you go to some person that you have never met before in your life, and you let them tell you what your problems are? Of course you were going to have something wrong with you, man, I mean, for crying out loud! Your dad died!! And how dare you tell me, 'I don't know how it feels to lose someone close to you forever!? I lost Jenna, and she was the only girl who didn't laugh at me when I looked at her.

TYLER

You think you were the only one to lose her? She was MY girlfriend! And of course I freaking miss her in fact, I -

cutting him off

JOSH

You were the one who made her leave anyway, I mean did you really need to have the whole town looking for your imaginary friend, to know that she wasn't imaginary? Honestly, listen to yourself! Did you ever even find out who the person was that you made up?

TYLER

Okay, you know what? I was just trying to see if we could repair this relationship, but clearly, that isn't going to happen.

JOSH

Then leave

TYLER

JOSH

slamming the door behind him causing Tyler to jump a little, Haley walks over trying to comfort Tyler

HALEY

TYLER
