Chapter 5: babysitting.

BEEP BEEP BEE-

"A-AAH!..oh, it's just my alarm.." I yawned out. I didn't get much sleep since I was talking with flippy the entire night. Everything that he said was sweet in our conversation..

I walked slowly out of my bed and yawned again and then headed towards my kitchen for some breakfast. I made myself a sunny side up egg and put some waffles in my toaster.

After I ate my quick made breakfast I went in my room again and grabbed my phone and noticed lammy texted me something.

I'm just joking! But where were you yesterday??

Oh uh I was at the park, I thought yesterday was a day off?..

Well Mr Lumpy DIDNT look at the calendar and ordered me, splendid, and sniffles at the office...:(

Oh uh that sucks?.. but I uh have to go now, BYE!!

I noticed flippy calling me so I ended me and Lammys short conversation and picked up the call.

"O-oh u-u-uh flippy do y-you need s-something?.." i asked "Hey flaky, do you think we can hangout today?..if not that's fine!" I answered back to me "Y-yea I'm f-free at five I h-have to babysit t-today." I stuttered.

"Ok, how about we come over to my house?" He told me "S-sure!" I muttered out, I quickly hunged up and got dressed.

I put on my usual look and I left my house. I started walking and I finally have made it to Pops house and opened the white picket fence gate and went to the door step and knocked.

"Oh hello flaky!" The male said to me when he opened the door, I noticed Cub behind his father and waved to him. "Flaky you came at great time today, I have to go to a job interview today!" He said with a bit of nervousness in his voice "Mr Pop I t-think you'll get the job!" I said with tiny smile.

He then left and I sat down next to cub "H-hi cub! Do you want to draw t-today? I brought some crayons!" I softly spoke, he then nodded so I brought him to the table and put his booster seat on the chair and carefully placed him into it.

I placed the crayons to him and gave him some paper, I heard someone knocking at the door so I opened it.

"Oh hey po-.. Oh flaky!" Flippy said with glee "F-flippy w-what are y-you d-doing here?.." I mumbled, "Well pop called me asking him to babysit Cub today?." He laughed out.

"O-oh I'm baby sitting for Cub today, didn't pop tell you?.." I asked with curiosity. I then got interrupted by Cub crying. "W-wait hold on f-flippy!!" I said with panic in my voice "Let me in I might help!.." flippy told me with worry in his voice.

We both dashed towards we're Cub was and saw water spilled over the papers. "C-cub are y-you ok?!" I asked the toddler, he shook his head no and gave me his hand which had a huge chunk of glass in it.

"F-flippy! I need the f-first aid k-kit!" I yelled out "On it." He said, when he gave me the first aid kit I noticed his eyes yellow and then turned away quickly.

"H-huh?..O-oh right!" I ran towards where cub was and placed the first aid kit on the table and quickly opened it for some tweezers.

After I got the glass out I bandaged his hand and found a ice cream bar in the freezer and gave it to him.

As I was watching Cub finish the ice cream at the table I noticed flippy on the couch reading a book I took Cub's trash and threw it away and sat down on the couch next to flippy.

"W-what are y-you reading?.." i muttered out "Oh, er it's uhm a horror and romance book.." he said with his face looking red still staring at the book "What s-scene a-are you at?" I softly spoke with curiosity in my voice.

I crawled over where flippy was and looked at the book moments before realizing it was a sexual scene..

I covered my face with my hands knowing I was turning red from that scene and quickly sat up to check on Cub because I just wanted forgot what had just happened, I turned around and saw Cub still at the table drawing.

I walked over to where he was and sat next to him "C-cub that's a really n-nice flower!" I told him. "Your really great with kids, your kinda like a mom." "O-OH! T-thank y-you?.." I said blushing but looking like I didn't hear him.

I noticed Cub drawing on a new piece of paper and saw him drawing what seemed to be..me? And ..flippy? And then a heart..

I realized what he was drawing "O-OK! U-uh let's p-play outside!" I randomly said out loud "Flaky you know it's raining right?" Flippy said to me, I didn't know flippy was behind me and I accidentally hit his face.. "OH MY GOODNESS!! I-I'm so s-sorry flippy!" I shrieked "Eh, it's fine red." He whispered.

I looked at my watch and saw it was 7pm "F-flippy we s-should g-go pop m-might get h-here soon!" I stuttered out. And to my surprise flippy actually disagreed "Well we can't leave Cub alone." Flippy told me "Y-yea.." I mumbled.

Cub then got off the seat and crawled over to the couch and grabbed the remote and put on a kids channel.

I then heard knocking and I opened the door and saw pop soaked in water head to toe "E-er Mr pop a-are you o-ok?" I softly spoke to him "Uh yea, sorry I was a bit late I had to get some groceries." He said.

Pop was honestly a good dad and tried his best being a good father towards his son since what happened to his wife..

The curse in our town only revived you if you died but the curse couldn't revive you if you die of an illness or something like that.

Ok how about I stop thinking about this grim topic..

I waved goodbye to pop and cub and opened my umbrella outside because of the rain I started walking back to my house when I heard someone call out my name.

"FLAKY!!"

I then realized truck lights in front of me.
