Dancing with the enemy

Chapter 1: Masquerade.

FLAKYS POV:

"SPLENDID QUIT IT!" I yelled at my partner "Ugh.. your a killjoy!" He told me I just ignored him, he was going to get in trouble with our boss!

I started playing with a pen while waiting for our boss to come into the room and tell us our next job.

I heard him walking near the door since I can hear his shoes going CLICK CLOCK, he quickly opened the door with a few files in his hands I analyzed one of the files that had a weird name "Flippy?.." I mumbled out

"Ok everyone! I have 4 new files for all of you!" Mr Lumpy declared, "Huh?.. there's only 4 of us sir?" I softly said "Yup! Your going on a solo mission!" He said with glee.

...

"HUH!? SHE CANT EVEN GO ON A MISSION WITH ME!!" Splendid cried out "Oh hush up splendid! But I think this is wonderful flaky!" Lammy told me happily.

I was a bit nervous..

As Mr Lumpy gave me my file I realized it was the one I analyzed a few moments ago

"Flippy..huh?" I softly told myself with a smile "This will be fun.." I grinned, I opened the file with a bit of nervousness and happiness. It was a bit shocking what I read inside.

"Hmm..." I thought, I clutched onto the paper, "You guys can start your missions!" Mr Lumpy yelled out to us "Flaky please stay, I need to tell you something about your file." Mr Lumpy told me.

The room was loud then went quiet after everyone left "Flaky, since you're going undercover splendid took care of what you will be wearing since he insisted!" Mr Lumpy laughed out.

"Oh god.." I thought

Mr Lumpy gave me the outfits and another file for where I needed to go.

I waved goodbye to my boss and left the tiny meeting room.

I started walking over to a table and looked at the file with coordinations where I need to be

WAIT IT WAS A MASQUERADE BALL?!

My face heated up, I imagined all the people that'll be there.

I quickly took a look and found a pretty mask, it was for the masquerade..

Wait..the masquerade is tonight? I mean I have nothing to do anyway and it's a order from Mr Lumpy.

I walked to the changing room and wore the dress splendid picked out, it wasn't my style but the color was one of my favorites!

"Eugh..it's a bit tight.." I mumbled out, I turned around to face the mirror and saw me I looked like a model except for my messy hair.

I looked in the mirror to see the mask still lying down on the seat, I then turned around to face it naturally.

It was a beautiful mask. It was dark red with a bit of lighter hints of scarlet red shading the mask, it felt too pretty to wear but I was supposed to wear it.

I put on the mask seeing it in the mirror it only covers my eyes and a bit of my nose.

The mask seemed like a animal of something..maybe a hedgehog? No.. maybe a dog? No, it was a porcupine. I realized the time and quickly plopped on the 5 inch heels splendid picked out.

I exited out of the building and saw there was a limousine outside. "Hello ma'am, Mr Lumpy has told me to get you a driver so I selected the best one!" The man said to me. I thanked him and went inside the luxurious vehicle.

It felt like hours until I felt the limo stop.

The sky was an inky black with glimmering stars that stood out from everything. The vehicles door flew open and I was greeted by some butlers.

Everyone was waiting outside and no one was inside I think.. I didn't like crowded spaces so I took a path that lead me to a beautiful garden around a gazebo.

As I got closer I saw a tall male on the right side of the inside of the gazebo.

I made my way inside the gazebo and put my elbows on the frame
