Chapter 8: Mystery

Ever since that day of the explosion. Vander told us that we needed to lay low and for us not to go out wandering the street. My arm was still healing from accident that happened to me but I can still move it around. We still haven't told the whole group that Vi and I are dating but only Powder knows and of course Vander knows. He was reaction was the same as Powder.

I was sitting down on one of the chairs but had my legs up to my chest. Claggor was leaning on the wall next to me. I watched Vi as she was punching, the machine they built (well to be honest I dont know who built it I'm sorry) I smiled at Vi and she finally landed her last punch, I looked up at the score board and wow that's a lot. I wish I can do that.

Vi looks at my direction and winks at me. I blush and looked away. Claggor notices and walk twords me and leans down at my level.

Claggor: Is there something going on between you and Vi *whispers*

Y/n: What are you talking about? *whispers back*

Claggor: *whispers* I just saw Vi wink at you. *Smiles*

Y/n: I don't know what your talking about *smiles*

Claggor: Yep something definitely going on *chuckles*

Mylo: Remind me why we bother with this dump.

Mylo spoke out loud. Is he really asking why are we in here? We are trying to hide away from the enforcers. Claggor and I looked at Mylo.

Vi: Vander said to lay low. Enforcers never come down here, so this is as good a place as any.

Y/n: Oh, what's the matter, Mylo?

Claggor: You worried that Powder's gonna beat you again?

Claggor finished my sentence. Claggor and I chuckled and Mylo. Every time Mylo and Powder play that shooting game, Powder always wins. Mylo just bad at shooting.

Mylo: Hey, if she didn't keep fixing these things, I wouldn't keep missing.

At that moment Powder jumped up from the ground from behind the game and kinda spooked Mylo a bit. Powder plugs in to chords together and the machine was ready to be used again.

I just laughed at little and looked at Claggor as he smiles and shakes his head. Mylo starts shooting again but missing everything. I sigh in disappointed.

Vi: You guys know I wouldn't take you on a job you couldn't handle, right?

We all looked at Vi well except for Powder cause she was filling the gun with the rubber balls they use.

Mylo: Are you kidding? That was the best job we've ever done.

Mylo said as he kept shooting the dummies but still kept missing.

Mylo: Maybe just don't take Powder next time.

Y/n: Mylo.

Claggor: Umm...

Powder glanced at him of anger. She clicked the gun back together. She then aims at the dummies and perfectly shoots them in the area. That was amazing. She puts the gun down and gave Mylo a look and walked twords my direction.

I watched as she sits down next me playing on some video game the boys stole a while back. I stood up and walk to where Vi was.

Y/n: Hey.

Vi: Oh hey, Princess. What's up?

Y/n: Oh nothing just wanted to check up on you *smiles*
