In the House Of God

In the quiet of the chapel, hushed and still,
I find refuge in the One who wills
The silence speaks in a language divine,
In His presence, I am lost in time.

The light of faith illuminates my way,
As I kneel in awe and start to pray,
The fragrance of incense fills the air,
As I seek God's love and infinite care.

The words of scripture, ancient and true,
Echo through my soul, renewing my view,
The weight of my burdens, now lifted away,
In His grace, I find strength to face the day.

I imagine the cross and Jesus' sacrifice,
His love for us, so great and precise,
I imagine the hope that His resurrection brings,
And the promise of eternal life that it sings.

In the quiet of my heart, I feel His embrace,
His love surrounds me, a warm, gentle place,
The rhythm of my breath, a soothing sound,
As I connect with the divine, holy ground.

With each moment of stillness, I draw near,
To the heart of God, to His love so dear,
And in His presence, I am made whole,
In the house of God, never alone.
