Dear Diary,

On the twenty-ninth me and Mathew asked my father if he could come with us on the pilgrimage after morning prayer. Which went something like this:

"Sir, I was wondering if you would give me the pleasure of joining you on your pilgrimage," Mathew questioned. He shifted nervously under my father securitizing stare. He reached over and held my hand. I gave sent him a quick smile of reassurance.

"Mathew I wouldn't mind at all if joined us on our journey, but as I'm sure you this can make it so you won't become a priest. Are you sure?" My father asked.

"I've been going over it and  I'm confident in my decision," Mathew replied.

"It is your decision and if your sure I will let you come, but you must tell the priests of your choice."

Yes sir," Mathew gave a slight bow and shook his hand.

And that was the end of that.  Our group left on the morning of the second of July forLondonand arrived on the same day.Londonis...not what I expected it smells foul the smell of from the dead animals from the butchers and the lung clogging scent of the refuse. And it didn't help that the bare earth ground was mucky and don't even get me started on my sandals. We stayed at another church and I again had to share a room with Mathew we discussed the sewage in the streets and picked killed the fleas that were threatening to bite us.
