A blunt awakening.

Lucile's head was spinning as she tried to take in the reality of her situation. She was in Middle-earth, the land of elves, hobbits, and wizards.
She had read the books and watched the movies, but never in a million years did she imagine that she would end up here.

As she walked through the halls of Rivendell, she couldn't help but feel like she was in a dream. The architecture was breathtaking, and the elfs were beautiful beyond belief. Lucile felt like she had stumbled upon a secret world that she was never meant to see.

But her excitement was short-lived as she realized that she had no idea how she was going to get back home. She was stuck in Middle-earth, and the thought of being separated from her family and friends for an indefinite amount of time made her feel sick to her stomach.

Lucile's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a door opening. She turned to see an elf approaching her with a concerned look on his face. "Miss Lucile, I am glad to see that you are up and about. How are you feeling?" the elf asked in a gentle tone.

Lucile tried to steady her breathing before answering. "I'm...I'm okay. Just a little overwhelmed, I guess," she replied, feeling a little embarrassed by her lack of composure.

The elf smiled reassuringly. "That is understandable. We will do everything in our power to help you, Miss Lucile. But first, we must discuss how you came to be here."

Lucile took a deep breath and braced herself for the conversation that she knew was coming. She had no explanation for how she ended up in Middle-earth, and she was afraid of what the consequences might be.

Lucile spent the rest of the day exploring the beautiful Rivendell, marveling at the architecture and artistry of the elves. She even managed to sneak a peak at a few elves practicing archery and sword fighting, making a mental note to ask if they needed an extra member for their next battle.

As night fell, she found herself at the edge of the cliff overlooking the valley below. The stars were bright and clear, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of peace and wonder. She sat down and pulled out her notebook, scribbling down notes and thoughts about her experiences so far.

But her moment of tranquility was soon interrupted by a rustling in the bushes behind her. She turned around to see a small figure emerging from the shadows, looking up at her with curious eyes.

"Who are you?" the figure asked in a high-pitched voice.
Lucile was taken aback by the sudden appearance of the creature. "I'm Lucile," she replied cautiously. "And who might you be?"

The creature introduced itself as a hobbit named Frodo, and explained that he was on a quest to destroy the One Ring, which had the power to enslave all of Middle Earth.
Lucile listened in disbelief, wondering if this was some kind of elaborate prank.

But as Frodo spoke, she could sense the weight of his words and the gravity of his mission. She knew then that she had been brought to this world for a reason, and that she had to help Frodo and his companions in their quest.

With a determined look on her face, Lucile stood up and said, "Well, it looks like I'm in for an adventure."
