Part 1: First Year

I still remember the first time I noticed the little Gryffindor boy. It was during one of our first charms lessons. We were using feathers to practise Windardium Leviosa. I remember him trying a little too hard and blowing up the feather in his face. I giggled at his cute clumsiness.

The next time I saw him was at lunch one afternoon. I watched him from over at the Ravenclaw table with a slight daze. He was clearly trying hard to do something with his goblet of water, when all of a sudden it blew up in his face again. I blushed madly while trying not to laugh.

“What are you laughing at Amoret?” said a small voice from beside me.

“Oh Luna. I didn’t notice you sit down. And I wasn’t laughing…” I said now feeling a little self-conscious as I took a glance back over to the Gryffindor table. Luna’s my best friend. She was a tad weird and clumsy but I didn’t mind, I like weird… and clumsy, which may be why I like Seamus Finnigan.

“I’ve been sitting with you this whole time Amoret! But I guess you have been a little distracted lately. Is there a boy I should know about?” Luna smiled as my face turned a deep red.

“Don’t be silly Luna! Of course not!” I said a little too quickly

“My guess is that he’s a Gryffindor boy, since you keep glancing at their table” Luna gave a slight giggle and took a bite out of a piece of toast.

“Aright I’ll tell you” I glanced over at the Gryffindor table once more and then stood up “But not here” I teased as I began to skip through the Great Hall.

“Wait! Amoret!” I heard Luna call to me as she hurried to finish her breakfast. I giggled and made my way to the edge of the Black Lake.

I had now been there for about ten minutes waiting for Luna. She still hadn’t come. Was she not interested? Or couldn’t she find me?  I then I heard someone walking towards me, I smiled.

“Well you took your time” I said as I turned around with a smile on my face. But it wasn’t Luna. “Oh I’m sorry, I thought you were someone else” I said and looked down as my face turned red with embarrassment. Seamus was standing before me looking all cute with his cute blue eyes, and cute messy sand coloured hair.

“It’s alright. Amoret right? You’re in my Charms class” he asked in his Irish accent. So cute!

“Yes. Um, I’m Amoret” I said a little too quickly again. He laughed.

“A friend of mine told me you were weird” he said with a cute smile on his face, I felt a little hurt by this. “Oh I didn’t mean it as a bad thing! I like weird!” he said as he walked a little closer to me.

“So do I” I replied, now full of happiness. We then kind of stood their awkwardly for a few seconds, but then I began to feel a bit hot. I looked up to te sun which was beaming down brightly on me

“It’s getting a little hot don’t you think?” Seamus said and all I could manage was a nod. He smiled and stretched out his hand. “Come on, let’s go inside” I nodded again and began to reach for his hand, when all of a sudden I felt really light headed. Then the next thing I know was, I was in a large white room. I sat up and tried to feel my head with my hand, but my hand wouldn’t move. I look down at it to see a small hand clutching mine. I followed the arm until I reached the face of a small boy. Seamus Finnigan. My face then turned completely red again as I tried to gently pull my hand away.

“So did you like my surprise?” asked a familiar small voice that was to my right. I jumped a little then turned around to see Luna sitting in the other chair beside me.

“Do you have any idea how scared I was?! You’re such a meanie Luna!” I whisper yelled at her, trying not to wake Seamus up.

“Yes, but he did carry you ALL the way up here by himself, I only caught him with you at the door because I had a feeling this might happen” she smiled

“Thank you” I then said. I was going to add more but then Seamus woke up.

“Oh you’re awake! Are you alright Amoret? You didn’t hurt yourself did you?!” Seamus exclaimed as he gripped my hand tighter

“I’m alright” I smiled. “Well except for my hand which is being crushed”

“Oh I’m sorry!” he said as he let go of my hand. Luna giggled and I smiled a little

“Well I’ll leave you two alone so you can get to know each other better” Luna said as she leant down to give me a hug.

“He didn’t leave your side once this whole day. It’s almost curfew now” Luna whispered into my ear then hurriedly skipped down the hall. I blushed again as I watched her.

“Bye Luna!” Seamus called to her. She gave a wave just before she left the room. Then Madam Pomfrey walked in and only after she check me out, she dismissed me.

“I’ll walk you to the Ravenclaw common room” Seamus said with a smiled

“O-oh, you don’t have to do that” I exclaimed, again turning a little red.

“Yeah, but I want to” he said.

“O-okay then” I said and bowed my head in silence as we walked silently through the corridors. Finally Seamus broke the silence and started asking me questions. It turns out we have a lot in common. One being we both can’t dance. “Thank you for looking out for me today” I said as we stopped in front of the common room.

“It’s alright” he said as he began to rub the back of his head. “I’m sure you would have don’t the same”

“Yeah” I replied slightly. I then suddenly felt a burst of recklessness and decided to take a chance. I kissed his cheek and said;

“I’ll see you tomorrow. Try not to blow yourself up again in charms” I then quickly walked into the Ravenclaw common room and closed the door. I took in a deep breath and turned around, then was attacked by Luna.

“Now tell me everything that happened!” she exclaimed loudly. I smiled and told her everything.
