Christine has become my favourite person- after Myeol ofcourse. She was a girl that had a refreshing personality that brightened up your day. She made weird puns that were more humorous than I expected and shared whatever snacks she had snuck into her jacket pocket.

She could've been a model with her staggering 6 foot height and petite body. She wore a low waisted blue jeans and a plain red crop top that showed off her belly ring. I was sure that the belly ring wasn't allowed in the school but she hadn't cared and whenever she got shoutings from teachers, she would wear something more daring on the next day. The teachers ended up leaving her to do whatever she wanted because she never listened, atleast that's what she told me.

It was English, the period that was just before break time. Although the subject bore many of the students, the students stayed wide awake and watched as the time passed whilst the teacher rambled on. Tne loud screech of students chairs as they stood from the seats overpowered the teacher's voice to the point where she greeted the students who hadn't paid her any mind when the bell rang.

"Diane," I turned towards Christine who was wiping the drool that was at the corners of her lips from the long nap that she had. "Are you coming to sit with us?" She asked as she reached for her plastic lunchbox that was decorated with different quotes from her favourite shows.

Although I wanted to join her for lunch, her large friend group made me feel uncomfortable because they were all just like her. I didn't mind her personality but it was overwhelming when you sat in-between a group of 7 who had the same mannerisms, character and tone. When I sat with her on Friday, my head throbbed from the thousands of conversations that I had to catch on at the same time and their loudness that I wasn't prepared for. Since I was someone who sat with them for the first time, they made sure that they explained everything in detail even though I preferred to not know. "No, I'm going to sit somewhere else. I want to catch up with work."

"I'll see you later then," she said as she walked out of the classroom.

I then took the small lunchbag and walked out of the class with the objective of finding the Myeol so that I could spend my break time with him. Many students spent their break time on the indoor courtyard that wasn't used much by teachers, some sat by the benches that were placed under the large trees, and most boys spent theirs by the soccer court where they played soccer until they were drenched in sweat and their girlfriends sat on the benches near them, cheering them on. I personally liked to sit in those parts where the sun was the most strongest. The sun usually made me sick after a while but I would always rush towards these parts whenever I could because I enjoyed the feeling of the sun on my skin.

I had no idea where Myeol would be seated but I was sure that he wouldn't sit outside since he enjoyed his time alone. It was also that people were very wary of Myeol and didn't dare stare at him even when he asked someone a question. Whenever I asked Christine about the situation around Myeol, she would immediately be interrupted by something, whether it was the bell or her friends calling her over to their side of the class. It was frustrating and I would make sure to know if it even if I had to go through Myeol.

I made my way towards the library, hoping my intuition that told me that he was in there was correct. I opened the glass door with a sigh. "Good morning," I greeted to the librarian who was busy scanning the large pile of books.

"Do you need anything, honey?" She asked as she closed one of the books and placed her elbows on the large table. I smiled awkwardly since I was here because of a boy instead of wanting a book to stick my nose in.

"I'm looking for my friend, Myeol. Have you seen him anywhere?" I asked whilst ringing the lunchbag straps. I thanked her when she pointed at the fiction books section on the left side of the library where Myeol sat quietly with his sketchbook in hand.

I walked towards him in anticipation. We were closer than ever, as I would like to think since the moment he gave me a water bottle to quench my thirst, and as so I would want to have less strain in our conversation. It wasn't a problem for me to do so but a huge problem with him. I hope that the extra thing I brought for him with make him more welcoming.

"Hi." Since he hadn't worn his headphones I was certain that he heard me loud and clear. "I brought you some few things to snack on." I rushed to open the lunchbag and took out an extra lunchtin that had a large piece of cake in it. "It was my mother's birthday yesterday so I thought to bring you some." I smiled when he slowly grabbed the lunchtin out of my hands and placed it on his lap whilst I took a seat beside him.

My mother was turning 40 yesterday and as tradition, we always spent her day by the church where she would be prayed on by the pastor and she would thank God for the extra year that she was blessed with. We then went to her favourite places, ate her favoirite food and bought her favourite cake, chocolate.

"Miss Sari said that I should have you as my partner for the English assignment that was done a month ago." I said as I gave him a small fork to eat the cake with. He nodded, closed the sketchbook that he had in hand and gave me his full attention.

"When do you want to start?" He asked as he ripped open the plain lunchbox and started eating the cake. I hope that the cake was to his liking.

"As soon as possible." I responded and watched as he shoved bigger pieces in his mouth. "Where do you want to meet?" I ripped open my lunchbox that contained a polony sandwich and began to shove the food down my throat as quick as possible after I saw that I had 5 minutes left.

"We'll meet by my house. I'll pick you up tomorrow afterschool and we will go straight to my house." I smiled shyly and nodded. I played around with the small piece of bread that fell off and thought of the many things that we could've done when we were forced to be in the same house. "Diane?" I looked up to see him place the empty lunchbox in my lunchbag. "Can I have some love candy?"
