Ever since my mother gave me the permission to go to Myeol's house, I've been having daydreams about how our day would be. I knew that Myeol was a reserved man but I hoped that the day spent with him would be much more than actually writing down notes that he had on this poem.

Would he kiss me on the cheek goodnight before I left? Would he let us watch movies the whole day and let me lay on his chest, savoring the warmth that he had? Would he express his undying love for me before the night ended? I knew that these thoughts were just wishful thinking but it hadn't stopped my heart from skipping a beat.

I wonder where Myeol lived in this town. It was already known that he was rich, if his 1970s Mercedez R107 was an indication. It was already seen with how he carried himself, with the way he dressed in the most recent clothing from designer shops and the way every teacher treated him. He always wore really expensive watches that he liked hiding beneath his hoodie sleeves and wore the most coolest shoes that I've ever seen.

Today I made sure that I dressed in a much prettier piqao than I've worn these past few days. A red long piqao that reached above my ankles and tied my hair in a low bun which showcased my features much more than I usually liked. Red hairclips kept my hair in its liked position and I wore black pumps for comfort. It was a normal day at school so I wasn't going to wear any heels even though it would look great with it.

"You look really pretty today," Christine said just as she took a seat beside me. It was the last period, Afrikaans, and the teacher was done reading his book so we had some time to mingle before the bell for home time rang. "Did you do this because of a certain boy you've been following around?" She asked as she wiggled her eyebrows in suggestion.

"Ofcourse not. Is it a crime to want to wear something nice for one day?" I asked after I tried to mask the blush that was creeping up.

"You know that there's this really cool roller skating place that's opening soon." Everyone in Christine's group responded with their own exclamations of excitement and how they couldn't wait to go. "Maybe you should come with us on Friday, Diane. It would be really nice." I was apprehensive about the invitation but when I saw the large hopeful faces that everyone had, I couldn't help but cave in.

Everyone then continued talking about the different outfits that they would wear, some asked jokingly if I had anything else to wear other than piqaos and I replied with a laugh. Although it was a shocker to everyone, I had plenty of clothes, ranging from dresses, skirts to large pants. It was just recently that my mother forced me into wearing piqaos that I ended up enjoying the look and flaunting it around whenever I went out of the house.

I watched the clock continuously, my leg bouncing as I waited for the five minutes to finish so that I could join Myeol. I wasn't sure as to if he wanted to meet me in class or outside where he was parked. I wasn't sure where he parked because the school had many parking lots due to the many students who owned cars or drove their parent's cars, but I knew that if I rushed fast enough, I could see where he stood before the parkinglot was full.

I rushed out of the classroom when I heard the loud ring of the bell and huffed when I bumped into someone. "Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." I said hurriedly as I moved passed the man, looking down at my moving feet because I was too embarrassed to look at him in his eyes.

After a few long minutes of walking aimlessly through the different cars and groups, looking for a familiar figure that I would be going with and sighed in relief when I saw his car parked right by the end of the parking lot which was near those who spent an hour smoking weed until the principle walked out and caught them.

He had a cigarette of his own, dangling loosely between his lips, taking out smoke slowly from his nose. I wasn't one who liked a smoker, I hated the way it smelled and how the smell stuck onto your clothes even though you stood around them for a short time. "Hi," I greeted when I stood by his car door and watched as he threw the small cigarette bud onto the ground, calling me into the car with his right hand.

I played with the straps of my bag as he drove past the many homes. There was no music playing through the speakers, no small idle chat that made you cringe, it was just a silent ride where he drove and I looked at the passing homes. "How long do we have till we reach your house?" I was tired of looking at the many homes, the ladies jogging through different streets and the school children who walked home from school. I sighed when he hadn't given me a response and continued to play with the straps of my large bag, taking his lack of response as that we were nearby.

"This is beautiful," I whispered quietly as we entered his large yard that lead to a beautiful home that resembled a castle. It was so rustic with its large bricks and different vines that covered almost the whole house. The house suited him and his personality, it was beautiful but a scary place that gave you an eerie feeling.

When we entered his home, I was instantly in awe at the sophisticated design across the whole home. There wasn't much in the home. Each room had majority 2 furnitures that were big enough to fit the room but gave the sense of the large room that you sat in. "You can go sit by the dining room, I'll go get you something to drink and snack on," he said as he pointed towards his right and disappeared by his left, probably where the kitchen was.

I then took a seat on the very large table, took the few books that I brought and sprawled it on the table. "You have a beautiful home, Myeol." I said the second he came into my view with a large tub of ice cream and two bottles of water. "Thank you." I took the two treats and set them on the table.

I was a girl who loved snacking on something while I studied which ranged from the sweets that I stashed or the packet of crisp that my mother keeps in her cupboard as her secret stash. Whenever she caught me snacking on either, she would reprimand me, reminding me that I was bound to have extreme cavaties from my actions but I couldn't stop. Whenever I tried to, my body would shake endlessly until I had something in my mouth.

The next few hours were spent on the reviewing of the poem, notes being taken and small jokes were shared between the both of us. It was a fun day even though most of it, I wanted to ram my head against the table from the extremely boring topic.

"You know," Myeol began as he slumped back onto his chair in exhaustion, "I think that I can change your views about burgers. There's a pretty nice burger joint near the school which has the best burgers in the world."

I wasn't the biggest fan of burgers. They hadn't tasted that nice and were overrated. My hatred for burgers increased when I had one from a Wimpy restuarant and ended up in the hospital for a few days because of extreme food poisoning. "I don't know about that." I promised myself that I would never have a burger again but with him begging me to, I might just take another day at the hospital for food poisoning to make him happy.

"If it doesn't work out, then I'll happily do whatever you want with no questions asked."

"Whatever I want?" It was a dangerous wager, one that I would obviously win. He didn't know what he got himself into but I was never one to turn down something so beneficial. "Fine, I'll try it out but don't back out when you loose."

"Trust me, I won't."
