“So – Jazzy. Are you going home over Christmas?” Draco asked curiously. “Not a chance. You know my mom. No chance I’m going back there. I’ll probably stay here… Alone… In the common room… Alone… Without a boyfriend… Alone…” I gave him a quick grin. He rolled his eyes. “Are you implying something?”
“Duh.” I smirked. “Okay, okay. Do you want to spend Christmas with me?” He asked, grinning. “Yes! Thank you, thank you, and thank you!” I hugged him. “Well, you’re welcome.” He blinked, hugging me. “Sorry. I didn’t want to spend the holidays... Alone… Without a boyfriend… Alone... Here…”
He rolled his eyes at me again. “But, you’ll have to stay at home when I go shopping… For a gift… For you…” He smirked. “Hey! Don’t imitate my desperate style of speech.” I scoffed. “Wait – you’re getting me something?!” I bounced. “Tell me what. Give me a hint. Please Draco!?”
“Psh. I don’t even know what it is, so how can I give you a hint?” He smirked. “Liar…” I gave him a puppy look. His eyes went wide, and he almost said what he was getting me – I know he did. “…Damn it, Jazzy. That isn’t going to work.” I paused. “At least I tried.” I smirked.
“I’m not going to tell you.” He said firmly. “Fine…” I pouted again. “You should probably pack anyway – we’re leaving soon enough.” I nodded. “’Kay.”

I flopped down on the emerald green comforter, staring around the guest room that Draco’s parents, though surprised I was coming at all (I wasn’t their biggest fan in the world – in fact, most times I’d found them even more hateful than Draco himself…) had prepared.
The walls were a dark green that could almost be considered black, with silver curtains over the windows. The sheets were an almost shiny silver, as well as the pillowcases, which were trimmed in dark, emerald green. Silver stenciling adorned the top corners of the walls, and looking closely I realized that what I thought before to simply be intricate spirals were really snakes. I shivered slightly. Everything in the room, I realized quickly, was silver or green. The bed, the wardrobe, and the other furniture were all a dark wood.
Not that I didn’t like it – in reality, I found it more comfortable than my own home – in a way, it reminded me of the common room back at Hogwarts. The color scheme was the same.
Seeing as I was probably going to be there a while – and come more often over the holidays – Draco’s parents had graciously (all too graciously, it didn’t seem quite right in my opinion) offered to let me use that room as my room for when I visited – which allowed me the freedom to hang any posters or banners I saw fit.
The first to go up was, of course, the photo I loved the most (besides any of Draco and I) … a photo of the Slytherin Quiddich team. I hung it carefully beside the mirror that hung beside the bed, smiling as I watched most of the team wave enthusiastically at me. The photo had taken hours to satisfy the photographer – Draco and I ended up nearly strangling each other the first try, I was looking away the second, and Draco was re-tying his shoes the third time. I laughed quietly at that memory.
Quickly following were any photos of Draco and I that I had – all around the mirror. I smiled a bit, straightening the comforter, before beginning to unpack.
I was too busy unpacking to notice the door open, or to hear Draco creep up on me. He hugged me from behind. “ACK!” I squealed, whirling to face him, my wand ready. He backed away. “O-oh. Sorry, Draco.” I smiled at him. He rolled his eyes. “Jumpy.” He commented.
“Yep. As jumpy as a bunny.” I stated. “I like what you did with the guest room,” He commented. “It was always so dark and gloomy before.” I rolled my eyes. “All I did was hang a few pictures up, Draco.” He smiled. “Exactly.”
