Alhaitham found himself awake unusually early. With his habit of reading late into the night, he was used to waking up just in time to make himself a cup of coffee and get ready for work. He gently untangled himself from your arms and sat up. Looked outside the window, he saw the teleporter glowing faintly over the lake. You were sleeping soundly, hair sprawled on the bed behind you. He tucked a lose fringe behind your ear and looked at you tenderly.
The bedsheet you two were laying on was absolutely filthy. He sighed and got off the bed. The mattress shifted under his weight and your stirred in your sleep. Bending down, he lay a kiss on your forehead and whispered, "Go back to sleep." Your eyes opened slightly in response and then you dozed off again. He walked to the wardrobe and took out some small towels. After softly lifting you from the cum-soiled bed, he placed you on the settee. He cleaned your body by wiping you down with damp towels. Spreading your legs to clean off the juices that were staining your inner thighs, he gently scraped and you moaned as your eyes fluttered.
A flash of warmth went across his naked body and his dick twitched. He looked down at his erection and decided to not disturb your sleep. He pulled off the bedsheet and the pillow covers that had been stained with sweat yesterday, and put them in the laundry basket. Picking up a clean towel, he headed to the bathroom. He emerged around an hour later, hair damp and pushed back to expose his forehead. He walked to your wardrobe and pulled out the spare clothes he had left behind and some new bedsheets. There was time left before he had to head to work, enough time to make himself some coffee and breakfast for you.
Laying you down on the fresh sheets, he bent down to lay a chaste kiss on your still puffy lips, closed the window curtains, and walked to the kitchen. When you awoke, the sun was shining through the curtains and there was a faint scent of food in the air. You sat up and gathered your hair in a loose braid. The sun was too bright for it to still be morning. Your stomach grumbled and you giggled. Of course, he would know you were too worn out to cook anything.
As you walked towards the kitchen, you felt your knees buckle and placed a hand on the wall. "I am going to beat him up, ugh." You mumbled and shook your head. The kitchen was clean. There was a pot on the stove, filled with a strange-looking yet delicious-smelling soup. The poor scholar had no talent for presentation in cooking, but whatever he cooked suited your palate.
You reheated the soup and sat down at the table with a bowl. The birds twittered out in the woods, and the waterfall gushed in the distance. You breathed in, comparing the warmth of these days with the past. A few months ago, when you had decided to leave Sumeru, Alhaitham had asked you why you chose Mondstadt instead of Liyue. You had shown him a letter you received from a friend in Liyue about the growing influence of the Fatui through the Northland Bank. He had sighed and held you in his arms, but he knew he would not be able to protect you for ever.
You polished off the bowl and lay you head on the cool wood of the table. Your eyes grew heavy with drowsiness, and you eventually dozed off. When you came to, there was a sweet and cool breeze coming in through a crack in the window. The sun was setting and the sky was coloured in the colour of an overripe sunsettia. Stretching your arms, you decided to go out for a walk.
On one of the kitchen shelves, there was a sweet little woven basket that you had got as a gift from a friend in Sumeru. You put some cookies in a handkerchief and put it inside the basket along with some mora and a pair of gloves. Wearing your red cloak which was light enough for the summer over your nightdress, you set out to where Mondstadt and Liyue met.
Soon you found yourself walking in the direction of Teyvat's most renowned winery. The sun was slowly dipping below the horizon and the blue of the sky was growing deeper. Standing on a cliff overlooking the estate, you could see the faint glow of the crystalflies fluttering midst the grapevines.
