"Always laugh when you can. It is cheap medicine." - Lord Byron

"Johnny! Glad to see you! Come in, Please do!" He exclaimed as he opened the door wide for the uninvited guest.

"Same goes, Teddy. Same goes!" The chubby man entered, handing a heavy suitcase to the little owner of the house.

By little, he was in his 40s but looked very skinny for his age.

He grunted as he placed it down in the living room, as his friend threw his shoes to a corner and made himself comfortable on the couch.

"You bought a new T.V.?" He asked.

"Why, yes. I did." The man gave a tight lipped smile. He knew what was to come. Johnny spread his legs on the elegant center table and flipped the T.V. on, increasing the volume to 70.

As the speakers blasted, Teddy went to the guest room and made the bed. He then called out to his friend.

"Johnny!" He shouted. "Johnny!"

Upon not getting a reply, he frowned and went to shake him.

"What?"

"Will you have something?" He asked.

"Ofcourse! You won't send your friend off like that!" he exclaimed, his eyes glued to the screen.

Teddy sighed and made some spaghetti. He placed the large bowl on the table and set two smaller bowls for eating. Just as he did, Johnny frowned. "No juice?"

Teddy sighed. "I'll make some fresh lemonade."

"Do you have pomegranates? It's been so long since I tasted their juice!"

"I think I do.." Teddy got up and dragged himself to the kitchen. He then slit and peeled the fruit, collected its seeds, extracted its juice and strained it from its seeds.

By the time he made enough for the large appetite of his friend and brought the tray to him, his mouth was left agape.

His friend was licking the bowl clean, not a single speck of food left for him.

"Johnny!" He called out exasperatedly.

"What?" He batted his eyelashes innocently.

"You ate my dinner too?"

"It was for you also? Well, what a pity! I didn't know." And with that, he gulped down the juice in one go.

Teddy was going to burst out any moment. But then, his friend said something.

"Hey! I forgot completely. I have a gift for you!"

"You didn't have to!" The man smiled widely as he received it.

He unwrapped it to reveal an imported chocolate box.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Try one!" his friend insisted.

As he did, he devoured a piece slowly, letting it melt into the warmth of his mouth.

"Is it good?" His friend asked, eyeing the box like a wolf eyeing its prey.

Teddy felt uncomfortable. "Have one, why don't you?"

That was all needed for the man to empty the entire box and lick his fingers clean.

Teddy's jaw dropped and he angrily crushed the box and threw it in the bin.

"Isn't it time you slept?" He asked, containing his rising rage.

"It's only 3 a.m.! That's too early" He said and continued watching.

"Well, I am going to sleep." Teddy huffed and went to his bedroom.

However, as he was peacefully slumbering, a large splash of water woke him up. He was drenched from head to toe and Johnny stood there with a bucket.

"What do you want, Johnny?" He asked, clearly losing his temper.

"Well, you see, the guest bed is very hard. I can't sleep there. Why don't we switch since I'm a part of your house anyways?"

And with that, Teddy was kicked out of his own bedroom. Sighing, he stomped to the guest room and laid down. It was hard, yes. But it didn't matter now.

But, just as he was about to close his eyes, the door banged open and his friend walked in, frowning.

"Why don't you go back, since that bed is wet?"
