Part 1: The Concepts

In this chapter, we'll take a further look at my Headcanon characters; The Guardians.

There's a lot to tackle, so in this first part we deep dive into the main concept behind them:

An illustration of the Main Villains I thought of from 2020-2021.

For the most part, the conflict revolved around large, shadowy humanoid figures, who were about to wipe out everything from existence. They had a larger power over anyone, and it was focusing on our heroes stopping them.

Disturbingly, the whole situation had a more nihilistic and dystopian feel to it, which may be appealing for a very niche audience, but not necessarily for something mainly aimed for children.

Eventually, I added another element for the plot and eventually my own Extension of The Lore, that being The Guardians. Although the designs changed overtime, the general concept was always the same:

Giving our heroes a savior who can pull up a fight with the villains, while also giving them actual character in order to not come across as a plot device.

The first one I made was Loretta, The Dragon Guardian. Originally, she had a weasel-like design, while still sharing the dragon characteristics. She was also mostly white in color with some colorful patterns around, and was not related to any of the characters.
