The boys were training once again even though their father splinter told them not to, Leonardo didn't want his brothers to fall behind with him especially Mikey who he had 1-1 sessions with due to his lack of attention

Leonardo was on guard for his brothers who planned to sneak attack him, before Donnie irritated Raph who began beating him with his Bo staff

"Guys Knock it off your supposed to be fighting me not each other" a frown formed upon the elders face, "In a sec Lameonardo I'm nearly done beating up Donnie" Raphael tackled the dark purple haired who shrieked; Leonardo sighed desperately and ended training "Just-"

"Dinner's ready!!!"

Great. Leonardo's frown deepened as he left the dojo followed by his younger brothers, Dinner was rather silent as they occupied themselves, eating "So does anyone want to talk about their evening?" Splinter asked his sons, "I bet Donnie up in training" Raphael crossed his arms with a rather pleasing grin on his face earning a glare from Donatello

"So um Sensei I've been thinking" Leonardo started, catching their attention "Yes my son?" Splinter replied looking directly into The boy's sapphire eyes "Mm I've well thoughts and isn't it about time we went up to the surface..?" He hesitated already knowing Splinters answer who stood up turning his back to his now teenage sons "Yes"

Before he finished the boys interrupted with a collective cheer before Splinter cleared his throat "and no" he finished as they groaned "But Sensei you said it yourself were old enough more mature what else do we need?" Leonardo went to plan B: Begging

"My son's you are not ready to face the world yet it is a dangerous place"

"Maybe for you" Raphael managed to mutter, in which Splinter didn't hear him "please Sensei you said we're ready" The wavy blue followed his father around one advantage of being the favorite child he's always get told yes "Leonardo I've told you many times when the time is right I'll-"

Splinter turned around to see his sons on their knees now giving him puppy dog eyes or course it was easy to resist but when it came to Michelangelo no one made better puppy dog eyes than he did, Splinter groaned "Alright fine I will let you leave"

He walked away, "See guys I told you I'd convince him" Leo smirked "Whatever" A pout came from Raphael

"Alright boys let's ride it like the present!"

Everyone stared at Donatello "Donnie for a future reference please don't ever say that again" Raphael, blinked "I thought it was cool" muttered Donnie now upset

"Woah..."

Michelangelo, gasped once all were on a rooftop "It's so beautiful up here" His eyes sparkles at the new surroundings, "Come on!" He led everyone down a fire escape and ended up in an alley way

Peeking around the building "Everything is so colorful" Donatello took a mental note in his head smiling,

"Jeez it's too bright"

"Someone's a baby~"

"I'm not I'm just sensitive too bright lights shut it Mikey!" Raphael smacked Michelangelo in the head; "Hey guys what's that?" Donatello pulled Leonardo over to him, "What?" Leo knelt down and peeked "Who's she?"

Michelangelo asked turning at Donatello who wasn't responsive but we're in a mid trance staring at the figure walking on the sidewalk talking to someone on the phone although she didn't see them, Donatello's face was bright red

"Don?"

"Donnie?"

"DONATELLO!"

Donatello, jolts "Jeez don't scare a teen like that" he frowned "Ooh someone has a crush" Raphael teased as Michelangelo snuck and pulled on raph's hair "Damnit Mikey! What the hell was that for?!" He punched the younger who bursted out into laughter "Guys come on enough" Leonardo stood up after making sure the girl had left, but Donatello was no where to be seen "Donnie?" Leonardo looked around

"He's over there dude" Mikey points over to Donatello who has the courage and went up to the girl who started talking to the taller happily "Woah this guys actually talking to a girl" Raphael stopped Leonardo "He's gonna be us caught!" He whisper yelled before Donatello walked back over with the girl

"Gentleman and Raph this is April O' Neil April meet My brothers Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael" Donnie introduced "Hiya nice to meet you" She waved, "Now we have two ginger well red-head" Leonardo tilted his head, "Anywho April's pretty cool so far we have a LOT in common" Donatello said excitedly

"Yeah that's great and all but um we gotta go-"

Everyone was alarmed by the sudden; crash then silence again on cue the boys were quick to retrieve their weapons and get ready for whoever's out there, no move was made, until a muffler scream came from April

Donatello looked back to see man wearing a suit and a few others getting out of a van "That which is known are intruders are intruding our plan" One said before taking out a blaster and began carelessly aiming it

"Who the hell are these guys?" Raphael asked well anyone in general stabbing one with his sais "How do we know? They just started shooting!" Leonardo dodged a laser as it struck the brick wall beside him "Whoever these guys are I'm pretty sure we made it on their enemy list- April!" Donatello shouted quickly rushing to save the girl without hesitation

Ignoring Leonardo's orders to stay, "Donnie! We need your help!" He yelled as Donatello was in the middle of something "It can wait Leo!" Was his response before successfully rescuing April before anymore damage was done, after for what seem like hours the enemies finally called a retreat accidentally dropping a canister, The others went to go check on April

"You okay?" Donatello asked checking in on her "Y-yeah I'm alright thanks" April smiled "Hey dudes come check this out" Michelangelo pointed as the group crowded around the glowing container "What's this?" Donatello asked picking it up and examined it "Not sure maybe I can examine this in my lab" He turned it then placed it under his arm "You have a lab?" It was Aprils turn to ask questions "Not to brag but yes I do" A proud smirk formed "Cool My dad's a scientist" She tugged on a stand of her hair "Really??"

A genuine surprised tone slipped through the genius's voice "Yeah he is unfortunately he's been missing for a while..." She dropped her voice low "Oh..Jeez I'm sorry." Leonardo; placed a hand on her shoulder "It's fine" April smiled weakly "I've been fine on my own" She perked up

As Donatello did his best to hide his blush "A-anyways come on guys let's head back to the lab we can introduce April to Sensei"

Donatello suggested after Leonardo's protest, "Your sounding like a mom" Raphael rolled his eyes and followed everyone in the end Leonardo followed as well trying to think of something to tell his sensei about the new friend they made...
