Hikari: Serious
HIKARI: SHOUTING
Hikari: Thoughts

————————————————————————

A/N: Hello everyone! An early message from your author, this is a short story that I decided to write. It's a 1000 total views for every chapter of the story special. Now, it's set before Hikari started UA, thought I should make that clear before getting into it. But that's enough, I shouldn't spoil it. Enjoy!

I've been walking deeper into the forest with my uncle for the past 10 minutes, and I'm having mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, I need to master my quirk quickly if I want to do well in the Entrance Exam for UA and he'd have experience with this sort of thing. But on the other hand, I have a hard enough time training with him as it is, and now he'll be making me train my quirk as well. I'm not looking forward to what he has in mind for training. And since we do our training in the forest, he doesn't have to hold back during the fight. Oh well, I'm just going to have to try my best then, it's not like he'll give me any other choice. And I can't really run away with him right next to me.

Borsalino: Okay, here should be good.

Hikari: Uncle, just remember that I've only just learnt I have a quirk. Could we maybe not try too hard for practice today?

My tone is hopeful, but my thoughts are not.

Borsalino: No, you go to UA in three years. The other students there would have had their quirk since they were toddlers and you have only gotten yours yesterday. The gap between their mastery and yours will a big one if you don't try hard enough. So today we will be learning what your quirk can do and how you can use it, do you understand that?

Hikari: Yes uncle, I understand.

My uncle is a strong hero, one of the strongest out there. He's someone most heroes in training would love to train under. Afterall, Borsalino Kizaru is the Number 4 hero, dressed in his normal striped yellow suit and navy coat, and his height twice the size of me. To be in his agency would be something most heroes could only dream of, and here I am getting his training for free. I'd say I'm lucky but I've been through his training, it's a nightmare.

Borsalino: Now, it would help if I could see what your quirk could do. Try your best to hit me with it.

Hikari: Hit you? It's pretty strong, will you be able to handle it?

Borsalino: You've known me since you were a little boy Hikari, so you should know that I'll be fine. I'll have a better idea of what it can do if I can see it first hand as well.

Hikari: If you say so.

I shift my feet as I get ready to show uncle my quirk. I use my Color of Arms on my leg before I get go to attack.

Hikari: I'll need my Haki if I'm going to show you, otherwise the hit won't do anything.

Borsalino: That's good, you're learning well.

After applying my Haki to my leg, I try to recall the feeling I had when I first used my quirk. My leg starts to glow the same bright yellow like it did when I first used it.

Borsalino: Ooh, how interesting.

Hikari: Isn't it?

I swing my leg at him, once again not prepared for how fast the attack would be, as the kick hits my uncle. The wind and dust around us is kicked up as my view is blinded by the attack, but I know that he's fine, his presence hasn't moved since we stopped. The dust settles as I see that my kick was stopped by his own kick, our legs glowing bright yellow and low purple.
