Hikari POV

The entrance to the school was about as crowded as you'd expect. The newspeople are all wanting to get in, but they had to go through a bag check and some other security measures.

Hikari: Aizawa sensei did say they were stepping up security for the festival.

All around the entrance of the school is filled with all sorts of different stands, some selling souvenirs, some selling food. A lot of the heroes at the event I recognize, such as Mt Lady, Death Arms and Kamui Woods. I see him looking at me as I walk past.

Hikari: I'm guessing he remembers me from that knife guy.

I end up finding where all the other students are heading to and spot a few of my classmates heading there as well. We end up at a waiting room for our class where we can all get ready for the festival. We found our sport uniforms in the lockers, where we could get changed.

Mina: Man... I wanted to wear my costume.

Ojiro: To keep everything fair, we can't.

Sato: I wonder what the first round's gonna be...

Tokoyami: No matter what comes, we have no choice but to deal with it.

Shoji: Right.

The door to the room bursts open as Lida comes in.

Lida: Everyone, are you ready? We will be entering soon!

Everyone seems to get even more nervous now. 

Hikari: Finally, I was wondering how much longer it'd take.

Kirishima: How can you be so calm Kizaru? I'm all fired up!

Todoroki: Midoriya.

Todoroki walks up to Midoriya, seeming like he has something to say.

Midoriya: Todoroki? What is it?

The class seems to get interested in the two.

Todoroki: Looking at things objectively, I think I'm stronger than you.

Midoriya: Huh? Y-yeah...

Todoroki: But... All Might has his eye on you, doesn't he? I'm not trying to pry about that. But I'm going to beat you. And Kizaru, I haven't forgotten about our match during the combat training yet. I'll show you that I've gotten stronger, and beat you as well.

Hikari: Oh? You've gotten my attention. Okay then, by all means, try your best. We'll see if you can follow through though, it'd be embarrassing if you couldn't do that, Todoroki. Especially since I'm sure that your father will be watching as well.

Todoroki: I'm sure that you'll have people watching you too, Kizaru.

The air in the room falls silent as the three of us look each other in the eye.

Kaminari: Oh? Is one of the best in the class making a declaration of war?

Kirishima: Hey, hey, hey! Why are you picking a fight all of a sudden? Not now, we're about to start!

He walks up to Todoroki and places a hand on his shoulder, only for it to get shrugged off as Todoroki starts to leave the room.

Todoroki: We're not here to play at being friends. So what does it matter?

Midoriya: Todoroki, I don't know what you're thinking when you say you'll beat me, but of course you're better than me. I think you're more capable than most people... looking at it objectively...
