*The song Arbaaz is singing*

Sulaimaan Manor was adorned with fairy lights. The simple yet elegant decoration adding to it's grandness. Guests could be seen dispersed in the grand hall. Conversing among themselves. All in all, a cheerful environment was spread out in the house. But the same couldn't be said for a room of one Jahan'ara Begum, where she was seated on her throne like chair while a distressed Aafiya stood infront of her. Sulaimaan was seated on the sofa, looking time to time between his mother and wife, already fed up with the argument going on.

"But Ammi jaan, it's such a perfect occasion... what's the harm in announcing Kashish and Abhi's engagement ?" - asked Aafiya, a desperation in her tone.

"The harm is not taking consent of my grandson. Announcement aside, have you even talked to him about Kashish ?" - Jahan'ara asked calmly.

"I haven't because I was thinking to surprise him. They both are childhood friends. He is very fond of Kashish... I'm sure he will be ecstatic!" - Aafiya tried to make her mother-in-law understand.

"I said what I said Aafiya. It's his life and everything will happen according to his liking." - Jahan'ara stated, standing up. "We will discuss with him after the party and will see what does he want. Now let's head downstairs. The guests must be waiting." - saying that, she walked out of the room with grace.

Aafiya helplessly turned to Sulaimaan who raised his hands up in a way that said 'keep me out of it' and stepped out of the room as well. She huffed, rolling her eyes before following her husband out.

"Arish Bhai! Where's Abhi ?"

Arish was standing with a maternal cousin when a female voice asked that from behind. He closed his eyes, gathering all his energy, before turning around to face...

Kashish.

She was wearing a copper coloured floor length silky frock with heavy embroidery that made his stomach churn. The heavy jewellery pieces in her neck and ear didn't help either. In short, she was dressed up like it was her engagement ceremony and he resisted the urge to laugh at her face.

"He has gone to pick a friend of his." - he answered calmly. A mischievousness strucking him to annoy the hell out of the girl who always irritated him to hell.

"A friend ?" - she repeated, frowning. "Who is this friend who can't come on his own ?"

Arish inwardly smirked. Oh he was so gonna enjoy this.

"A very... special friend to say the least. He was so excited that he took his latest car, you know the one in which he only allowed Dadi Jaan to sit ? Not me, not you, no one ? He has gone to pick his friend on that car." - he told her, feigning surprise. "And don't get me started on the fuss he has made today over his dressing..." - he said, shaking his head and huffing.

Kashish became tensed. Beads of sweat started appearing on her forehead as she went deep in thoughts. Arish was having a hard time containing his laughter but thankfully, his better half saved him.

"Arish...!" - came Shifa's call.

"Excuse me Kashish..." - he said and went towards his wife.

The smile on his face was one of those villains who walk out in style after burning down a building.

The gates of the manor opened as Arbaaz entered in the car. Zunera had already started to feel nervous at the sight of cars and land cruisers lined up in the vast green lands. He stopped the car in the porch and stepped down before quickly coming to her side to open the gate.
