"So, where have you moved from?"Mrs. Flame asked.

"We lived in Austin, Texas, but we decided to come here to McKinney, Texas, where it is not as busy," Mrs. Rain replied.

~Lightning,~ Mr. Flame thought, ~ I think that boy is a psychic.~

~That's because he is Dad,~ Lightning responded with a hint of sarcasm. ~I asked him and he said yes, but he wants me to tell him what I am in exchange.~

Later, Lightning and Phoenix were in the backyard which was fenced in so that no one would see them. "So," Lightning said, "You can use telekinesis and telepathy?"

"And maybe other things too. I haven't fully developed my skills yet. But about the whole vegetarian thing... Well, it's hard to explain, but at night I will, how do you put it, eat people's dreams."

"Whoa. Your way better off than me."

"Now will you tell me what you are?" Phoenix pleaded.

"Fine, but how haven't you figured out what I am?"

"Because, I've never met someone like you. Will you please tell me now!?!"

"I guess. I'm a vampire. Well half vampire technically. I knew you were a psychic because my father once told me a story about the ones with 'mixed blood.'"

"Can you tell me the story?" Phoenix asked in curiosity.

"Sure. He said that there are those whose blood isn't A, B, AB, or O. It's a combination or mix. It's ABO type blood. The rarest and most common blood types mixed together. But they're nearly impossible to find. If you find one you can not resist there scent. But don't let them penetrate your mind. They are the mixed bloods or psychics. Once I saw you I knew what you were so I blocked you from entering my mind."

"I have to ask you something," Phoenix said, "When you looked at me that first time, for a second your eyes flashed light blue. D you know why?"

"I never knew they did that. I guess that's one thing that makes me different."

What do you mean?" He asked.

"I'm the only half vampire that has ever existed. I'm supposed to be this so called Dragess that has awesome powers and a dragon. I'm also supposed to be able to inflict things on others, but I haven't been able to inflict things on others, but I haven't figured that out yet.

"What kind of powers do you have?"

"Well, I know that I can hover or fly, can read minds, can control people, I have super fast sipped and strength, and I can do something that no other vampire can do."

What's that?" Phoenix asked.

"I can be in the sunlight without sunscreen."

"So you won't burn up like vampires do in movies?"

"Nope. But my dad will without sunscreen," Lightning said.

"Can you show me how you fly?"

Lightning willed her body upward.

"AWESOME!"

Fir the rest of the day they showed each other what they could do.

The next day was the last day of summer vacation, they played around some more and tarried to teach each other new things.
