Kissing and Falling in Love

Johnny and Ponyboy met during the summer before their junior year of high school. They both worked at the local movie theater, taking tickets and selling popcorn. Johnny was a few years older than Ponyboy, but they quickly bonded over their shared love of movies and music.

As the summer wore on, Johnny found himself drawn to Ponyboy's bright green eyes and carefree attitude. He admired how Ponyboy never seemed to worry about what anyone else thought of him. Johnny, on the other hand, was always anxious and self-conscious, especially about his height.

One night, after a long shift at the theater, Johnny and Ponyboy sat on the curb outside, sharing a bag of Skittles. The streetlights cast a warm glow over their faces as they talked about their favorite bands and movies.

Without thinking, Johnny leaned in and pressed his lips to Ponyboy's. At first, Ponyboy was surprised, but then he relaxed into the kiss, tangling his fingers in Johnny's black hair.

They broke apart, both a little breathless, and Johnny looked up at Ponyboy with a mix of nervousness and hope in his eyes.

"I've never done that before," Johnny said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Ponyboy smiled, his green eyes sparkling. "Me neither."

From that moment on, they were inseparable. They spent their free time exploring the city together, trying new restaurants and thrift stores. They held hands as they walked down the street and stole kisses whenever they could.

At school, they kept their relationship a secret, afraid of how their classmates might react. But when they were alone, they were free to be themselves, to love each other without fear.

Years later, Johnny and Ponyboy would look back on that summer as the beginning of everything. They would remember the warmth of the streetlights, the taste of Skittles on their tongues, and the feeling of their lips pressed together. And they would know, without a doubt, that they were meant to be together
