Golden Flumpty POV

Golden Flumpty stood levitating in a swirling vortex of sparkling blue dust. The whirlwind around him grew more violent as his frustration increased.

The Owl previously asked him to look for the contestant. Of course, she didn't know he'd already been looking for him, but then again, there was no way she could know. Golden Flumpty moved... differently than the others.

He'd only gotten into Jeremy's mind once. And even then, it took an embarrassing amount of effort to do so. This human's mind was obviously very well defended. Maybe it'd be more worn down more as the week progressed, but he doubted that. Especially because of what he just did.

He'd killed.

The raging vortex around him calmed and subsided as he exited from his dimension. The black void around him crumbled away as he returned to his room, which was next to the Owl's.

Golden Flumpty's room was square with the floor, walls, and ceiling completely made of gold. The walls were decorated with many complex patterns embedded into the gold itself.

At the center of the room was a hectogram carved into the floor with 6 lit candles surrounding it, one at each point of the hectogram.

Suddenly, every candle simultaneously went out, and Golden Flumpty materialized into existence at the center of the hectogram.

The Owl noticed him from the other room.

"Hoot? Any luck?" She asked, tilting her head at an unnatural angle.

Golden Flumpty didn't respond and teleported away. He was in another vortex again, this time with bright blue dust swirling around him, and searched for Flumpty.

There he is, he thought.

He once again exited his dimension and was now at where Flumpty was. The room he was in was very odd. There were no hallways leading out of it, and at the center of the room was a table with a bunch of buttons and switches on it. The only light sources in the room were blue lanterns.

In the corner of the room, he saw Flumpty with his back turned from him, facing the corner of the room.

"Flumpty," Golden Flumpty said.

Flumpty turned and faced Golden Flumpty. "Hiya Goldie!" He said cheerfully, "What brings ya here?"

Golden Flumpty flew towards Flumpty, phasing through the table at the center of the room. "You know exactly why I'm here!" he said angrily, "This human has just caused the deaths of three of our crew! Don't you realize only one other person has ever killed one of us before? And this human killed him as well! Not only that, but he also killed one of the prototypes and the Beaver!"

"Relax, Goldie. This isn't a huge loss. Plus, from what I remember, you convinced that guy who killed Ears to drink lava. I think you handled this exact situation pretty well last time." Flumpty replied.

"You don't understand, this human's mind is exceptionally well defended! I don't know if I can get into his head," Golden Flumpty replied.

"Oh, stop overreacting. You can still use your physical form, y'know?" Flumpty replied.

"My physical form is useless. Don't you realize I can't interact with matter? What do you expect me to do? Scare him? Make him a bit cold?" Golden Flumpty said with increasing frustration.

"This isn't as bad as you think it is, Goldie. Trust me, his mind will wear down as the nights go on. You just do your thing, buddy, and I'll do mine," Flumpty said, winking. Then he teleported away.
