You are Y/n, a human living on the surface, where monsters and the 'underground' don't and never existed. It was known as 'Undertale', a game made by game developer Toby Fox. You've played it before and loved it very much. The game became popular over time, and people started making alternate universes (au's) of the game such as Underswap, Underfell, Horrortale, Underverse, and many more. Returning to the current situation, you find yourself floating in what seems like a black void. You may have been here for an hour, or just a few minutes - there wasn't any way to tell time. This isn't what you expected after death. You thought you might have ended up in heaven or hell, not in an endless black void of nothingness. Or perhaps this is hell! Maybe pirating those games or movies wasn't such a good idea after all, huh?
