Maddie's POV:

I closed my teal satchel, got my iPhone out, inserted my earphones and listened to Ella Henderson. I couldn't help but feel like I'm in a music video. "Hi, Madz!" Chloe shouted, locking the door to her house. I waved to her and took my right earphone out of my ear. "Josh asked me out on a date yesterday! Did I tell you?" Chloe smiled from ear to ear, "Yes! You told me yesterday, and now today" I mocked. Chloe nudged my shoulder.

"Hey, Chlobird!" Josh walked up to Chloe and kissed her on the cheek at school, I ignored that moment like it never happened. I like Josh as a friend, nothing else. Josh waved at me, I just nodded at him. "So, what class do you have today for first period?" Chloe linked her arm with Josh's, he said that he had Chemistry first. What a coincidence! So do I...yay {that was sarcasm}.

I walked into the spacious classroom, our teacher, Mr Oak-Andrews ushered us into the room. Josh bumped into me, making me drop my notebooks. He apologised quickly and walked towards his seat, next to me. I picked up my books and casually walked towards my seat. "Now class, we will be dissecting as frog!" Mr Oak-Andrews declared. Most of the class moaned while Josh and I stay quiet.

While Josh and I wrote down the types of organs Frogs have, I asked him how everything was with Chloe and him. "It's okay...she's just way too attached. I don't feel comfortable like that" he said. I let out a deep sigh, "I like someone who has an opinion of their own, super fun and are able to like me for who I am" Josh smiled at me. I gave him a weak smile. It was awkward silence for the rest of the lesson between us.

As I carried my food tray, I looked around the cafeteria. Chloe waved at a large circular table, she was sitting next to Josh. I walked over to Chloe, she told me I could sit next to Josh. So I did. The rest of Josh's friends came over and sat down at our table, Nick, Zack, Kevin. Those popular boys. I laughed at Nick's funny joke, I notice that Josh was staring at me. Brooke came over, "Can I sit?" She asked. We nodded and she made herself sit next to Kevin, she flirted with him a couple times. Josh secretly sat his right arm on my hip, I didn't mind that at all. Brooke noticed what Josh was doing and started munching on lettuce. Loudly.

I walked home by myself, Chloe had homework club so I was alone. "Hey, Maddie!" Josh called after me, I stopped in my tracks. We walked and talked until we got to the park, "Chloe's nice and all, but I don't think she's the right one" Josh screwed his face. "So, you walk through the park to get home?" I asked, he nodded slowly, so now I have someone to walk and talk with. "Hey, Mr Oak-Andrews said we need to do the assignment in pairs right?" Josh asked nervously "And you want me to be your partner" I rolled my eyes. "Yeah," He said "how about my house?" He continued, I nodded slowly .

Brooke and Paige were already home when Josh and I walked in. "I'm home! With Maddie!" Josh shouted, Paige run down the stairs. She dragged me up the stairs and into her bedroom, Brooke was sitting on her bed. "Hi, Maddie!" Brooke smiled, I smiled back. Paige shut her door and told me some disturbing news. "Josh. Likes. You. Maddie" Brooke said slow as ever, I felt uncomfortable on the inside but on the out, I just said okay and went to the living room. I said hi to Randy and Kelly on my way there, and I walked into the living room with my books. "Ready?" Josh asked, I nodded. "The organs in a frog?! Okay, if I pass out, don't be surprised. Gall Bladder, Cloaca, Liver, Heart. That's all I remember" he laughed. "The ones you missed out were, Pancreas, Lungs, Bladder, Brain, Stomach and Large Intestines" I smiled. I could hear Paige and Brooke squealing in their bedroom, Josh asked if I wanted a snack, so I said yes. He gave me a blueberry muffin and he ate a blueberry pop tart. I said thanks and I chewing my muffin. I looked at the time on my iPhone, 15:50. I have ten minutes to get home. "I have to go now, I'll see you tomorrow. I guess..." and with that, I walked out the door. I ran home, Josh's house was just about 10 blocks down the road from my house.

"Mom is doing extra time at work" Mackenzie was devouring a packet of chips, she's greedy like that. "Hi Kenzie" I said as I walked into my bedroom. I went on my MacBook Pro and surfed the internet.
