Pokémon: An Easter Story

PART 3: Easter Sunday

May: -gets up from bed and yawns- Sunday!
"Today was the last day of Spring/Easter break for me. In just 2 days I learned so much, it flew by WAY too fast though. I got ready for today and greeted my family."
May: Mom!! I'm heading out
Caroline: Wait! Don't you want to spend the rest of your time with your family!?
May: I do, but I have a really important matter to attend to, sorry Mom! I will be back just in time before we leave!! -rushes out the door-
"I ran straight to the nearest Pokémon center where I got some of my Pokémon team. I left them home since I thought I wouldn't need them on a family vacation. But I want to have a battle with Zinnia before I leave."
-outside the Pokémon center-
May: Go!! -throws a pokeball-
Latias: Raaaaaaaaaa!!
May: What's up Latias!!! -pets her- it's been too long!! -jumps on her back-
May: I need you to fly somewhere, I'll lead the way ok?
"We headed straight to where Zinnia was located."
May: -jumps off Latias- Where is she?
-I looked around for at least 10 minutes trying to find Zinnia, then suddenly a pillar of fire shoots up into the sky-
May: What the!? Latias let's go over there
"We flew over near the area where we saw Zinnia and a Salamence in a field of flowers."
Zinnia: You're here -smiles-
May: -gets off Latias- Just like I promised
Zinnia: Nice Latias, come to think of it, that boy had a Latios, interesting. -points at May- You have a new look in your eyes!
May: I could say the same to you, you feel different somehow
Zinnia: It's because of you, May. About 9-10 years ago when I was 8, my older sister Aster, the previous Lorekeeper, was killed in battle. Even though she was killed so long ago, I never fully accepted her death. That's why I used Whismur as sort of a fake Aster. I drove myself mad by creating a fake reality. I couldn't accept what I've lost, I couldn't move on. That's why I'm still here, frozen in the same place trying to keep what little memory I have of her and my people -looks up at the sky- I love this area, it was my sister's favorite place. Even though it's day time you can still see the stars glittering beautifully. And you to know something else that's ironic -picks up a flower from the ground- Some of the flowers here are mayflowers, beautiful white flowers that symbolize life and the purity of it -walks over to May and hands it to her-
May: Thank you. Going back to what you said before about my dad being with me. You're right, and like how you talked about the stars, the souls of your sister and my father are up there. They may not be with us physically, but they're always here spiritually. They're memories, hopes, and dreams live through us, and it's because of that I'd why we have to keep moving forward
Zinnia: To keep moving forward -smiles- To keep moving forward through loss to realize what we have left. I think I finally know what my purpose is, what I want to do with the life I have, it's only far since she put so much into me. -starts spinning around and dancing- Afterall May!!! We are the keepers of our own Lore!!
May: You're damn right!! Hahahaha!! -starts dancing with her-
"We were having so much that I lost track of time honestly. We explored many more areas and got to know each other on a deeper level."
May: So exactly is you want to do
Zinnia: Well, I want to write a book about my adventures around the world
May: Wow!! You're going to travel the world!?
Zinnia: Yep! I'm leaving for Kanto tomorrow on my Salamence. I want to explore each inch of the world. Learn about and catch many different Pokémon, not just dragon types. Hopefully, I can complete a book on all my adventures. What about you May?
May: -chuckles- I'm being a little generic. I'm planning on going to college for fashion, and hopefully in the future I can start my own fashion line
Zinnia: Oh cool, I don't know much about fashion as you can tell
May: -laughs- Hahahaha!! You look fine in your clothes now, they suit you actually
Zinnia: hmph, thank you -smiles-
-A sudden windy breeze blows the girls away-
May: Woah!! What's with this sudden gust!?
"As Zinnia and I looked up at the sky we saw a green servant-like figure flying by."
May: Is that-
Zinnia: Rayquza!!! -eyes start filling with tears-
May: I thought Brendan caught it
Zinnia: It looks like he released it -wipes the tears away- I guess that's the signal to start the main event -grabs Salamence's pokeball-
May: Hmph, we had the same idea -grabs one of her pokeballs-
Zinnia: Hahahah!! We are more alike than I originally thought. Well I wanted to have a battle with you, 1 on 1. -throws the pokeball- Come on out Sala!!
May: -throws her pokeball- Blaziken time for battle!!
"As the battle was on the way, Zinnia took off her cape and I took off my bandana. My father gave it to me when I was little."
Zinnia: -smiles- You know what to do!!
May: -smiles back- Yep!!
"We threw the items in the air and commanded both of our Pokémon to use flamethrower. As the ashes flew by we both remembered the memories behind these items and started the battle."
May: Blaziken blaze kick!!
-Blaziken charges right at Salamence with blinding speed landing a direct hit-
Zinnia: Hahahha, that tickles, right bud!!
-Salamence pushes Blaziken back shrugging off the blaze kick-
Zinnia: Please go easy on me, I haven't battled someone since the boy
"It's been 7 years since she has battled and she took a full force Blaze kick from my blaziken!? What the hell!?"
Zinnia: Sala air cutter!!
-Salamence flys high in the sky and rips the air apart sending sharp winds toward blaziken-
May: dodge!
-Blaziken dodges and maneuvers around the deadly attacks positioning itself right under Salamence-
May: High jump kick!!
-Blaziken launches fast in the air preparing to attack Salamence-
Zinnia: Now you can't dodge!! Salamence Dragon Rush!!
-With no problem Salamence moves out of the way and slams Blaziken in the ground with Dragon Rush-
Zinnia: Air Cutter!!
-Salamence flies back up and lands back to back air cutters on the injured Blaziken-
May: Blaziken!!
"This is bad, her Salamence is insanely powerful. One Dragon Rush nearly took Blaziken out!! But if Brendan fought and beat her, then I have to as well. I wouldn't call myself a rival if I lost!"
-Blaziken slowly stands up-
May: Good job buddy!! Now let's counter attack with agility!!
-Blaziken run's around the field with blinding speed-
Zinnia: -looks around confused- This will trouble, hahaha!! In that case, Salamence Draco Meteor!!
Salamence: Raaaaaaaawwww!! -shoot a large beam in the sky splitting it into multiple pieces raining down-
May: -smirks- Actually, I can use that!! Blaziken jump on the meteors!!
-Blaziken jumps from meteor to meteor getting close to Salamence-
May: Wait for it...now!! Brave Bird!!
-Blaziken gets close enough to where Salamence is in view and lands a direct Brave Bird sending it flying towards the ground-
May: Come back down with an extra strong Blaze Kick!!
-Blaziken uses gravity to buff its blaze kick while coming down. It hits Salamence directly in the stomach and then back up-
May: Aura Sphere!!
Zinnia: Quickly, Stone Edge!
-As the Aura Sphere approaches Salamence it uses Stone Edge to completely get rid of it. Blaziken ends up dodge the Stone Edge while repositioning itself-
Zinnia: You're amazing! It's been too long since I had a good battle. The last battle I actually enjoyed was with that boy, I guess this is to be expected since you were his rival. -smiles- Why don't we stop playing around and take it to the next level!!
May: -smiles back- Ready when you are!!
-The two trainer's touch their keystones activating a beautiful bright glow that connects them with their pokemon-
Zinnia and May: MEGA EVOLVE!!!
-Blaziken and Salamence are engulf in pure energy and emerge in their mega state-
May: Go Now!!
-Blaziken zips all over the place faster than before-
Zinnia: Woah!! That thing is stupidly fast! I'll just counter it with power then, Draco Meteor!!
May: That won't work again!! -Blaziken copies what it did before by jumping on the meteor's-
Zinnia: You're right, it won't work again
-Salamence uses a extremely powerful Double-Edge catching Blaziken mid air sending it flying miles away-
May: -looks back- W-what power...
Zinnia: Where are you going!? We're just getting started, Outrage!!
-Salamence chases after Blaziken-
May: Flamethrower!!
-Salamence rushes right through it-
May: High Jump Kick
-Blaziken jumps in the air-
Zinnia: You're in mid air again!! Draco Meteor!!
May: We're doing just fine, Flamethrower!!
-Blaziken uses Flamethrower to move itself out of the Draco Meteor's way-
May: Brave Bird!!
Zinnia: Thunder Fang!!
-Salamence catches Blaziken-
May: You can't run now!! Blaze kick!
Zinnia: We aren't running anywhere!! Draco Meteor!!
-Blaziken kicks the Draco Meteor exploding it in both of their faces-
Zinnia: -walks over to May and puts her hand on her shoulder- What a splendid battle
May: Same to you, you're insanely strong. I can see why you gave Brendan a run for his money
Zinnia: -chuckles- Hahaahha, thank you!! This is the most fun I have had in a long time, I have been lonely for so long. It is refreshing to have people you trust. If I get to meet many people like you then I look forward to traveling around the world and re-integrating myself into Human society. It will hard though since I'm so different
May: I think you'll be fine Zin, you're a kind hearted person. There will be many people who like you and accept all of your qualities. At the same time there will be those who reject you, just remember what's more important
Zinna: Thank you for your kind words -turns around- You have to leave soon so I think it's time we end this battle
May: Agreed!!
-Zinnia walks back to her area, and both pokemon get fired up-
Zinnia: Salamence respond to my heart, use every ounce of power you have left!! Dragon Rush!!
"The memories of Brendan and our adventures returned to me. The memories of my father and everyone that loves me came to me. Please help me here!!
May: Blaziken final attack!! Flare Blitz!!
-The two Pokemon rush at each other with devastating power and speed. The clash sent shockwaves all over the area, smoke then appeared-
Zinnia: I can't see!!
May: Who won!?
-As the smoke disappears, a fainted Blaziken is on the ground while Salamence is still standing-
May: -returns Blaziken- Looks like I lost -smiles- That's fine though, I'll training harder next time
Zinnia: Atta girl!! -returns Salamence- May Birch, thank you for everything -hugs May-
May: Thank you Zinnia, I hope you have fun on your trip around the world.
Zinnia: Thank you, and I expect you to be famous with your own fashion brand soon!!
May: -laughs- That might take a while, but thank you!! Until we meet again, Zinnia!!
