"You have GOT to be kidding me right now!" I yell, my voice echoing through the vast trees, the green giants living amongst humans. Josh frantically darts through the trees , his hands in his hair and the tall ferns slap against his pants, leaving green slashes on his jeans.

"I didn't mean to get lost. Oh man, oh man, this sucks!" Josh pouts as he starts to give up.

"This sucks, yeah NO SHIT! Why did you even want to go in here?!"

Josh spins to me and throws his arms up in the air, "I thought I heard about something cool back in here, like folklore. I wanted to see if I could find it."

"...you're joking."

"Oh shut up, you were interested when you came in here."

"I was interested because I thought you knew where you were going, and not just pulling it out of your ass!" I shout. Josh closes his eyes, taking a deep breath.

"Let's just... go this way." He turns, eyes still closed-- pointing west. I put my hands on my hips.

"Josh, what makes you think that we can get back to civilization that way?" He looks back at me and shrugs.

"I can just feel it." He starts trudging through the grass and ferns, bobbing and weaving through trees and fallen branches. I stick close behind him--I would rather be lost with someone than all by myself. I am very mad at him, getting us lost like this because of folklore that he thought he knew about. I glare at the back of his curly hair, setting exactly where he steps, not wanting to trip. My pupils try to focus as far as they can as I dart my eyes between the trees, but it never seems to end. This forest is so large that I can't even make out a single spot where the light might peek through the trees. It was like we were walking in a vast forest that stretches out on all four sides of us for miles, upon miles. Doubt begins to build like heavy bricks in my stomach.

"How do you know it's this way--don't say because you can feel it."

He huffs--still walking, "Well, I guess I don't know. But I feel like we're supposed to be going this way. I know that doesn't make sense but I can feel it."

"You thought that earlier...look where we ended up." I throw my hands in the air and let them slap onto my legs--though he couldn't see me.

"You know," He spins around, "I don't really appreciate your negativity here, Debbie Downer. I'm trying to get us out of here and you keep doubting me."

"Is that so hard to comprehend Josh? I'm upset, can't I doubt you? You got us into this mess and you expect me to believe you can get us out?"

"Yes!" His voice bounces through the trees, dying out as it hits a far distance. I shake my head, scoffing at him.

"You are un-fucking-believable." I shove past him and then immediately the ground breaks from beneath me, sending me six feet down. I let out a shriek, before I hit the ground and gasp as my back slams into the dry dirt floor that had just crumbled beneath me.

"Oh my god!" Josh runs over, "Are you okay?" He looks into the hole and sees me at the bottom. I look up, seeing him so far up, I begin to panic.

"Do-Do I LOOK like i'm okay, I just fell six feet into a sink hole." I sit up, the dirt settles--It's a tunnel that stretches out both left and right, "Woah...Josh come down here."

"No, I have to get you out."

"You wanted an adventure, get your ass down here. I found one," I stand up and stumble over the mound of dirt and walk into the tunnel. Josh furrows his brows and then slowly jumps down, we both stare down the jagged rocky tunnel. that was formed into an arch, a light brightly shining from the other side. I glance at Josh and he was already looking at me.
