The week until spring break flew by in a flash it was the morning that me and Elle were going to Georgia I finished packing and Elle stood in the door way in a plaid dress that almost came down to her knees and she had her honey colored hair in two french braids on the sides that met in the back of her head my heart fluttered at how beautiful Elle was in that dress with her hair up instead of in a ponytail and helped me up saying "ready?" we took a taxi to the airport where Elle helped me down into the seat next to the window I tried to get comfortable but my bad leg made it difficult as it stuck straight out because I couldn't move or bend it Elle put in ear buds and played music I asked curiously "what are you listening to?" Elle pulled one ear bud and and handed it to me I put it in it was Best day of my life by American authors I smiled feeling like this was the best day of my life I was going to Georgia with the girl that I had been crushing on since my first year at superhero high school

Elle smiled saying "you can keep it in and keep listening if you want" Elle smiled sweetly I felt my heart skip a beat feeling a bit shy I said "t... thanks" later I was startled by feeling something touching my shoulder I looked over to see that Elle had fallen asleep and her head was leaning on my shoulder I looked out the window and watched as the sun began to rise over the horizon I looked lovingly down at Elle who was still asleep the flight stewardess walked down the isle and smiled saying "aw you two are the cutest couple" I blushed flustered and studdered "um... I... uh..." the stewardess said "it's obvious how much you love her" before walking away I looked down at Elle and sighed wishing that I was brave enough to tell Elle about my feelings for her maybe someday... a voice came over the speakers startling Elle awake the voice said that we were landing Elle helped me out of the seat felt a sharp jolt of pain as I dragged my immobile leg behind me but it was a welcome distraction from my thoughts I saw a man about my height in the lobby waiting for us he had a cap on, a red plaid shirt, worn jeans, and muddy work boots on Elle made sure that I was able to stay balanced on my good leg as she hugged the man yelling "Pa I missed ya" the man Elle's dad said hugging her tightly "I missed ya too my lil' sunflower" I thought that Elle had a strong southern accent but but her Pa's accent was way stronger I said "hi Mr. Smith"
