California was sitting on a bean bag chair in his room, running his hand through his boyfriend's hair while coding something on his computer. Massachusetts was sitting on the floor next to California, most likely watching a documentary.
"Hey babe."
"What the fuck do you want."
"Can you check this code for me? Make sure it has no bugs?"
"Why the fuck not."
"Alright I'll go make ya some coffee Kay?"
"Sure."
California reached the door before Massachusetts said something.
"Ay pretty boy."
"Yeah mass?"
"Kiss."
California left a kiss on the other's forehead before going down stairs to make some more coffee.
California had bought an espresso machine and a bunch of other coffee supplies over quarantine, while it definitely only made California's coffee addiction worse, he could now no longer be judged by the Starbucks employees for asking for too many shots of espresso or for coming in for the sixth time today.
Massachusetts liked his coffe 90% coffee 10% milk with some frothed milk on top, most of the time he'd get coffee from Dunkin' Donuts, but he also enjoyed the coffee California made.
It took California a lot of time and care to finally get the espresso machine to pull proper shots, it needed to be perfectly balanced, in proper condition, the coffee powder had to be tamped properly, it was a long and careful process.
Massachusetts meanwhile always put time into making sure California's codes had no bugs, usually the golden state would do it but he trusted Massachusetts more than he trusted himself when it came to coding. He'd run it time after time to make sure there were no bugs and everything ran smoothly, it took a lot of time, yes, and after a while California would take a shot at it before handing it back to Massachusetts.
"Hey Mass!"
"What."
"Brought you your coffee."
"Thanks love."
"You find any bugs yet?"
"Found a couple actually, it seems to glitch when you hit a certain level and than the jumping mechanic could use some working on."
"Alright. Can you walk me through it?"
"Sure California."
