"Can this hot and dusty traveler come in?" Matthew said leaning on the door frame grinning ear to ear from the sight he see's. Anna is sitting next to his wife, while Mary holds their son.

Mary smiles at Anna and she gets up to leave the room to give the new family a private moment alone. Matthew then walks closer to where his first son awaits him.

"Say hello to your new son and heir." Mary said handing her husband their first born child.

Matthew took his son slowly so that he won't wake him and held him in his arms. "My dearest little chap," he said while looking at his son smiling like he was a little child again. "I wonder if he has any idea how much joy he brings with him." Matthew said trying to bite back his joyful tears.

He turned around looking at his gorgeous wife.

"My darling, how are you, really?" Matthew said smiling at the women he is madly in love with.

She smiled back. "Tired, and pretty relieved."

"And just think, we've done our duty, Downton is safe." Mary said looking at her husband holding his son for the first time. "Papa must be dancing a jig."

"I'm dancing a jig." Matthew blurted out happily, almost in tears.

"I feel like I've swallowed a box of fireworks." Matthew said joyfully, looking at his wife then back to his son.

He smiled at his new born son then, walked back over giving Mary their son carefully then sitting on the chair beside them.

Matthew sat watching Mary from her side. He smiled at her. "You're going to be such a wonderful mother."

"How do you know?" Mary said smirking at her husband.

"Because..." He moved to the floor kneeling down beside them. "Because your such a wonderful women." He said smiling up at Mary.

Mary looked down at the infant laying in her arms, smiling to herself.

"I hope I'm allowed to be your Mary Crawley for all eternity, and not Edith's version or anyone else's for that matter." She said looking up at her handsome husband.

"You'll be my Mary always, because mine is the true Mary."
