"No, I'm staying with my family today." Matthew said looking at his son.

"Darling, someone needs to go and tell them" Mary said back looking at her husband that she adores.

"I'll just call Mother and she can tell them herself." He said back to his wife. "They made telephones for a reason, you know."

Mary sat there thinking for a second. She really didn't want him to go either but she would feel like she is being selfish. Being selfish over her husband? That's ridiculous.

"Very well, you may stay," Mary said with a smile on her face.

"Go and call them....in a minute." she said with a smirk

"Thank you M'lady for your generosity to let me stay." Matthew said teasing her.

"Don't push your luck." she said with a smile across her lips.

"Now, I think I deserve a proper kiss from my husband." She said looking at him.

"You most certainly, certainly do." Matthew said back, holding up her chin and leaning in to kiss her.

Their lips meet, then they pull back after a minute and admire the little bundle of joy Mary is holding.

"I think he's going to have your eyes, darling." Mary said rubbing her sons head carefully.

"Maybe," Matthew said still looking at his dear little chap

"Oh Darling, I just realized we never settled on a name for our little boy." Mary said still looking at her son with love.

"Oh, I thought we had settled on George Matthew Crawley? Even though I still don't see why we must use my name for his middle name." Matthew said sitting back on the chair.

"I think it is very nice to have your name for his middle name. There will be no further discussion." Mary said firmly

"Okay," Matthew said, still admiring his son.

"he is a fine little chap. Our son, George Matthew Crawley.

"Yes he is." Mary said looking up at Matthew with a smile.

They kissed a few times then pulled back with all their love in their eyes.

"Darling, you should go call them, Mama must bouncing off the walls."Mary said with a soft chuckle.

"I guess I should." He said back to his wife.

"Lady Mary Crawley, I love you so very much." Matthew said kissing her head.

"I love you too." Mary said blowing a kiss towards him as he walked out to tell their family their happy news.
