𝑀𝒾𝓃𝑒 || 𝒯𝑒𝓃𝑔𝑒𝓃 𝒰𝓏𝓊𝒾

🦋 𝒞𝒽𝒶𝓅𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝒮𝒾𝓍 🦋

Today is the day we're going to go meet up with the boys. I say boys, but we'll only be seeing Tanjiro and Inosuke. Zenitsu went missing last night, which has got me feeling really down today. I was really looking forward to seeing all three of them again.

Before today, Uzui and I would go out during the day and look for simple herbs for me to make medicines with. He wanted me to stock up a little for when he brings his wives in. He should be bringing one of them in one soon. He somehow got word of Hinatsuru's exact whereabouts in the Ogimoto House.

And according to Uzui, there's been plenty of men trying to creep up on me as we would go look around for herbs, but he gave them one intimidating glare and they'd stay away. I guess I believe him, but...I honestly don't find myself that alluring. I'm sure it's these revealing clothes he has me wearing...

"They're just up ahead." Uzui informs, as he carries me to our destination. "I can see them on the roof."

I look ahead and see Tanjiro and Inosuke sitting on a nearby roof just like he said. "I hope they won't try to go look for Zenitsu on their own..."

"I'm with ya on that." He replies. "This place is dangerous."

With that, he finally lands on top of the roof that the two boys are on, without making a single sound. He places me down on the tiled roof.

"Mister Uzui, Miss Sasaki." Tanjiro greets. "How are the both of you?"

I carefully walk up to them and pull Tanjiro in for a hug. "I'm quite fine. Thank you. I'm so relieved you're alright." I pull away from the hug and just lay my hand on Inosuke's head, since I'm not sure he'd really react well to a hug from me. "You too, Inosuke."

He just makes this sound like he's having trouble breathing or something, but he also sounds and looks relaxed at the same time. It's...strange.

"Did you happen to see Zeni-" Tanjiro starts.

"Zenitsu won't be joining us." Uzui informs, interrupting Tanjiro.

"Hm?" Tanjiro hums. "What do you mean by that?"

I sigh. "It appears he's gone missing. Uzui didn't receive a response from him last night..."

"I'm starting to feel bad for getting you all involved in this." Uzui starts. "I was too eager to find my wives and I made some pretty bad decisions. You all should leave. This is getting too dangerous and you're ranked too low for this. Therefore, I'm continuing on my own."

Tanjiro stands up. "But, Mister Uzui-"

"Don't feel ashamed." Uzui interrupts Tanjiro again, walking up to where we are. "Life is all about survival. If the demon here happens to be an Upper Rank, you're as good as dead, so get out of here while you still can. If you go missing here, they'll just consider you dead."

He quickly picks me up and jumps away faster than he's ever gone before. I wanted to stay with the boys a little longer but that was obviously cut short.

"Uh, when you said to leave...were you talking to me too?" I ask, looking down. Wait- I should want to leave. Why do I feel sad all of a sudden?

He shakes his head. "I need you here for my wives. You're getting Hina tonight, remember?

"Oh." I feel relief as I nod. "Right. I hope she isn't too injured."

"As do I." He replies. "Once she's better, take that time to get to know her. You two are pretty similar in ways, so I think you'll get along well."

I laugh softly. "If I get to know you four too well, I'll want to use all my free time to come visit you guys."

"Well, is there any better way you can think to spend your free time?" He asks. "You'd be visiting the four flashiest people in the whole world."
