🦋 𝒞𝒽𝒶𝓅𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝒪𝓃𝑒 🦋

"Miss Sasaki! Miss Sasaki!" I hear Sumi cry out, practically bursting through the door to get into the room.

I'm trying to prepare the medicine that Tanjiro needs to take at this time. Today is the last day he'll have to take any medicine, then he can start his training with Zenitsu and Inosuke again.

I look over at the teary-eyed little girl, concerned. "Sumi, what is it?"

"Mister Tanjiro isn't in bed!" She answers. "He's out training, away from the mansion!"

"He's what?!" I immediately stand up, take a deep breath to calm myself down, and slowly sit back down in my chair. "Have you tried asking his friends where he went?"

I'm trying my best to try and keep my calm. No matter what I've tried to do, I can not keep Tanjiro from training. He's the most injured of the three boys, so he really needs to heal, but he can't when he's wanting to train all the time.

"Kiyo did and she said that they don't know." She sobs.

"He must've left while everyone was still asleep then." I guess, looking off somewhere else. I sure didn't see him leave. "They would've seen him leave otherwise."

"No." She replies.

"No?" I question, looking back at her.

She runs her hands under her eyes, sniffing. "He's left recently. Kiyo left-" She sniffs. "-him for only a little bit. I'm not sure where-" She sniffs again. "-Mister Zenitsu and Mister Inosuke were."

"Aoi or Naho didn't see him either?" I ask.

She shakes her head. "They're were making red bean paste buns for them."

I place a hand on top of her head with a gentle smile. "As much as I wish he didn't sneak out, Tanjiro will make it back here. It may take him a little while because of his wound, but he's very strong. He'll be fine."

She looks up at me. "You don't seem to be very mad, Miss Sasaki."

I turn back to the medicine I was working on. "He's been stuck in bed. If he's feeling good enough to go train now, then I'll accept it. Zenitsu informed me that he hasn't been motivated to do much ever since the passing of the Flame Hashira, but now he's doing something. We should be glad he's doing something now."

"He's supposed to be healing though." She remarks.

I sigh. "I know. Please don't remind me. Just calm down though. Go calm Kiyo down for me please. Tell her the same as I've told you and tell Aoi not to scold him when he returns."

She nods. "Yes, ma'am!" With that, she runs off to go complete the job I've just given her.

I lean back in my chair. 'These boys...they're so troublesome, especially Tanjiro. I think they're more stubborn than the first time they were here.'

I sit straight up and get back to working on the medicine for the second time. 'Nevertheless, I'm glad that they're safe. I know that they've fought hard. I hope they stay safe on their next mission.'

After getting dressed for the day, I make my way to the kitchen. I know it's where everyone is, because I could hear them from my room, especially the girls. I assume Tanjiro is back. I just wonder if he made it back okay.

I step in the kitchen, seeing everyone, including Tanjiro, who looks worn out. "Girls, you three are being very loud. You need to quiet down."

They hang their heads. "Sorry, Miss Sasaki..."
