(A/N: I'll just say right now that a lot of the fight is skipped. Y/n is with Hinatsuru and I'll be writing the part where Hinatsuru arrives and helps Tengen out. That's all. Hope you enjoy!)
"I don't think we're going to be able to make it to him..." Hinatsuru mutters, as she lays down on top of a roof to catch her breath. We've had to stop multiple times due to Hinatsuru's current condition.
I sit down beside her. "Don't think like that. Listen to how close the fighting is. We shouldn't have much farther to go."
Hinatsuru sighs. "I should've rested a bit longer. My body is still a little weak from that poison."
I nod. "As much as I agree with that, we can't just give up now. We've been traveling across these rooftops for fifteen minutes now. Who knows how much help he might need right now."
A small smile comes across her face as she sits up. "You really care a lot for Lord Tengen, don't you?"
I look away from her, my cheeks red with a burning sensation. "Despite fighting constantly since the first day we met, I've been with him for about a week or so now and he's taken wonderful care of me and we seem to get along nicely now...how could I not?"
"Mmm..." She pushes herself off the roof to stand up. "You'll have to tell me about how you two met later."
I nod, also standing up. "Of course. I'll tell all three of one day, but we've got to survive tonight first."
"We will. I'm sure of it." She replies, leading the way closer towards the fight again. "I think we can reach the fight this time."
"Well, that's good to know." I reply. "Just don't overexert yourself, ok?"
She lays a hand over her chest. "I'll try my best."
With that, we continue running toward the sounds of the fight. It just sounds as though it gets louder and louder each passing second. We can also see more of the fight too, such as ribbons, speeding through the air.
"Y/n...hold on." Hinatsuru calls out quietly, as we reach the battle site. She hops off the roof, grabs something, and barely makes it back up to, due to how weak she still is. She shows me some type of weapon with multiple kunai loaded in it. "I think this will be of great help to us. The kunai are also infused with wisteria."
"And you hide this thing when?" I ask. "And how did you know the fight would be here?"
"I have my ways." She answers then merely shrugs. "And I guess it was just a hunch."
I blink multiple times. "What an amazing hunch..."
"Come on." She nods pointedly toward the short roof that is blocking our view of the fight.
"Wait a second." I walk over to her and wipe the sweat off of face, feeling of her temperature at the same time. "Maybe we should've had you rest awhile longer..."
"Lord Tengen is our main priority right now." She replies. "Could you give me a boost up? Then, I'll help you up."
I walk over to the roof ledge and crouch down, clasping my hands together. "Ready."
She comes and steps onto my hands and I push her up. She manages to pull herself up the rest of the way with one hand. She must be really strong to do that, even though she isn't feeling the best right now.
She turns around and holds her hand down. "Grab my hand and I'll pull you up."
"Just let me get a running start." I back up from the roof and then charge toward it. I jump and grab the edge and attempt to pull myself up with all my strength.
