Chan: Are you still at work?

You read the text at least three times, just to make sure, you're not imagining things.

But, yep. It's him.

But why is he texting YOU?

You: No, I am home. Is there a problem at work?

Three dots appear, showing that he's responding.

You really hope, he's gonna say no, cause you're pretty tired and need a night just for yourself to relax and process everything that happened.

Chan: No, no. Everything alright. Don't worry. Actually, I am just about to head out myself.

You: That's a relief. So what else is the matter?

Chan: Did you already ate dinner?

You: I'm about to. Why?

Where is he going with this? It's starting to scare you.

He takes his time responding, so you take a good bite of your meal, before it's about to get cold.

Chan: I wanted to thank you. You know, for today.

Chan: So, let me treat you to a meal or something. How does lunch tomorrow sound?

You choke on your meal.

Eating out with Chris? Like, just the two of you?

Hell, no.

This is making you delusional and you hit rock bottom of reality once before in life. A painful experience for your heart.
You definitely don't need a recap of it.

Time alone with Christopher is a bad idea, something you should avoid as much as possible, besides the work place.

But, to be honest, it's not like you have a choice. How could you probably decline his offer.

You have to make it work somehow. But that's something you will have to figure out tomorrow.

You: Well, how could I say no to that :) And you don't need to thank me, seriously.

Chan: Oh yes, I have to. Don't argue with me about that.

Chan: So, see you tomorrow! Night!

You: Okay. See ya!

Turning your phone off, you toss it aside and bury your heated face in your hands.

"Cool down, this means nothing. He's just grateful for your help. It's not like he asked you out... DAMN IT."

You lift your head, slapping both your cheeks, hoping the burning sensation would help to get your shit together.

Eating your now tepid food, you start the kdrama, where you stopped, graving some romantically interactions since your personal life lacks in this category.

In the drama, the woman and the man are sitting in a noble restaurant. A server brings their food and as they start eating and talking, the woman has some sauce remaining on her under lip.
He recognizes it and leans forwards, towards her.
Little space between their faces, he lifts his hand onto her chin. His gaze dropping to her lips as he wipes her lip with his thumb.
