Packing your purse, you stuff everything you need in it and look at your watch.
12:25
You're supposed to meet them at 12:30 by the entrance in the hallway.
One last look in a mirror to check your makeup -you know, just in case- then you're out of your office, locking the door behind you.
You decide to take the elevator down as you can already feel yourself starting to sweat, so running down the stairs is definitely not an option.
Just as you enter it, your phone beeps, a message from the group chat >crispy chicken< - gosh, who made that group name - popping up.
Seungmin: Waiting at the entrance. Hurry up, guys 🙄
Beside you, there are three girls in the elevator, suddenly going silent as soon as you step in.
You bow and take your place on the opposite side, giving them space.
It's an awkward atmosphere and you can't help but feel watched.
Trying to ignore them, you start fidgeting again, swiping left and right on your phone, just to keep yourself busy.
"Oh my god, how can she wear something like that?", someone wispers, but still loud enough for you to hear.
"Right?! I mean look at her thighs ... A long skirt would have been better for her kind.", another girl answers.
It's obvious that they are talking about you, since there is no one else in here, but you don't dare to look up to see their judging faces.
Instead, you try to smooth out your skirt, pulling at the edges to make it longer and cover your thighs.
You hate yourself for doing this!
You hate hiding yourself, hate how much you care about what other people are thinking of you and that you can't give a shit about their opinion.
The day had such a good start and now THIS ...
Don't revert to old habits! Keep your head up! They are just some insecure b*tches, who compromise by talking shit about others! You are more than that!
Saying this over and over in your head, you manage to calm the growing anxiety and panic and luckily you arrive at the first floor just in time.
The bell rings and the doors open.
Taking a deep breath, you walk out of the elevator with long steps, crossing their path just in front of them.
They're startled, stopping abruptly and the one with pink hair mumbles something like what's wrong with that b*tch.
Although she just cursed at you, you can't help but smile.
They're heading the same way as you.
Just to annoy her a little more, you add a little hip swing to your walk, causing your skirt to show off your curves even more.
And it feels DAMN good, being the one to control the situation.
As you enter the big entrance hall, it's easy to spot the boys, despite the many people there.
It's as if there is an invisible bubble around them, that attracts people's attention but also makes them keep their distance.
Come to think of it, they seem like the popular, untouchable guys everyone in school admires and wants to be friends with.
The ones always pictured in kdramas. You move towards them through all the passing people.
Suddenly, Felix turns around and spots you.
He waves, a big grin on his face.
