Jumped

Its been about 7 months since Nox became Sky's pet turtle. Emma has been living back in her home for the past 5 months, and Mona left on a mission 6 months ago. It's almost the end of October. It's a Wednesday evening, almost 6 o'clock, Sky came home from school late, making all four of her brothers extremely worried. She had an LED halloween mask on her face and refused to answer anyone's questions. She walked right passed her brothers to her room and slammed her door shut. When Sky saw Nox hide in his shell, she immediately sighed and slumped onto the ground against the wall across from her bed, feeling bad for scaring him.

"Sorry, Nox... I'm just a little angry right now. I had a rough day at school... again. But it was worse today. And quit looking at me like you want me to take the mask off, the answer's no..."

Nox just kept staring at Sky. She knew he wouldn't take another bite of his leaf until she took the mask off and explained, she sighed in defeat.

"Fine... but I don't want my brothers to know yet." Sky sighed before continuing, "But I gotta tell them soon, they're my brothers! They deserve to know, but I dont know if im ready to-"

Knock knock

"Who is it?" Sky asked

"It's me." Raph said

"Uhh... can we talk later?"

Raph opened the door and was holding a med kit up with an unamused expression on his face. Sky sighed and waved him in. He walked in, closed the door and walked over to her. She looked down, waiting to be yelled at or given a lecture, but the yelling and lecture never came. Raph was kneeling in front of Sky, waiting for her to take the mask off. As usual, she was being stubborn and didn't take it off.

"Okay, enough with the silent treatment. Take the mask off, Sky." Raph said, getting irritated

"...I don't wanna.."

"Is it that bad?" He asked, concern etched in his voice

Sky sighed and took the mask off. Her face was black and blue, her nose was slightly bleeding on top of dried blood, her cheeks also had dried and fresh blood on them, her eyes were barely open from how bruised they were. Raph gasped at how hurt Sky was. He instantly started gently cleaning up her face.

"How did this happen?" He asked, his tone serious

"I don't wanna talk about it.." Sky mumbled

"Tell me." Raph growled

"No!" Sky shouted, pushing her brother away

Raph sighed and went back to cleaning up his little sister's face. After that, he suspected that Sky wasn't just hiding injuries on her face.

"Let me see the rest of them." He said

"Huh?"

"Your injuries. Let me see the rest of them."

Sky shook her head and stood up, not wanting to reveal several bruises on her stomach, back and sides. Her arms had a few scratches and red marks as well as a couple bruises. Raph glared at Sky, making her sigh and take off her sweater, then took off the tank top she had under it.

"What happemed to you..?" He asked

"Again. Don't wanna talk about it." Sky answered

"Tell me or I tell Sensei that you got the shit beat out of you."

"Okay, okay! Jeez..."

"Start talking."

"I was jumped by a few classmates."

"More detail, Sky."

"...I stood up to the quote on quote 'leader' when he was bullying Emma's niece and the gang didn't take it very well. I was pinned against the wall in the back of the school where there's no cameras and repeatedly punched in the stomach and face, then they let go and slammed me back into the wall a couple times. After that, one of them hit my head with some metal thing and it was lights out." Sky explained

"So you had no chance to defend yourself, that's what I'm getting."

"Yea. I get it, I'm weak. Don't rub it in!" Sky snapped, shocking Raph

"That's not what I said and you know it." Raph snapped back

"But it's true... isn't it?" Sky asked

Raph shot her a glare and pushed her down on her bed with his arm against her neck. Sky flinched before glaring back at Raph.

"Call yourself weak again and I'll slap you so hard you see stars!!" Raph snarled

Sky stopped glaring, her eyes softened as she let out yet another sigh, but this one was of relief. Raph let her up and crossed his arms, 3 times less angry than he was a minute ago.

"You can't call yourself weak. You're almost able to take Donnie and Mikey down and it's only been what? 8 months? And if it was any of the other three who heard you say that, you'd be yelled at with every reason you aren't." Raph said

"...thanks, Raphie."

"I told you not to call me that..."

"Yet you never attack me when I do. But if anyone else calls you Raphie you pounce on them like an angry couger." Sky remarked

"Okay okay, you got me. Fine.. you're the only one who can call me that because you're the baby." Raph rolled his eyes

"I'm not the baby!"

"You're the youngest. You're the baby."

Sky huffed and stuck her tongue out at Raph, making him chuckle. Nox just munched on his leaf as everything happened around him, then Raph pet him and ruffled Sky's hair. He left and Sky got another leaf out for Nox, giving it to him. She changed into a pair of comfy pajamas and brought the med kit back to the bathroom. She then brushed her hair as it was all messed up and went to the living room where Raph was telling the other three what happened.

"You snitch..." Sky sighed

Raph turned around to look at Sky, "You know they deserve to know. I ain't hiding something like that from them."

"I know... I just didn't wanna tell any of you because I know you guys would worry."

Mikey got up and hugged Sky, not wanting to let go. "It's what we do, sis. We look out for each other!"

"Yeah! Besides, someone's gotta put up with you." Raph said with a smirk

Sky chuckled and threw a pillow at Raph. The boys chuckled and the five of them broke out into a pillow fight.
