General's pov
Less then a month has past since everything happened with Brett's birth mother Julie. It really has been hard for Brett after julie died, Brett's closest friends have been trying to be there for her specially Brooke have been trying to be there and do things to keep her mind of everything that happened.

Today it was a new shift at the firehouse some was at the firehouse and ready for a new shift and some was on there way.
Severide and Stella was outside of the firehouse in Stella's car, Severide was laying down because he was really damn tired and a little hungover.

Stella - All right, up and at 'em, cowboy.

Severide started to groan and he didn't look at Stella because he had something covering his eyes all because of the hungover.

Stella - Oh, what, did you have a long night? 'Cause I think... I think I remember your very smart girlfriend suggesting it might be a bad idea to throw the bachelor party the night before shift.

Severide - Leave me alone.

Stella - Fine.

She threw the keys at Severide and she was gonna get out of her car and walk in to the firehouse and get ready for the new shift.

Stella - Lock the doors when you get out.

She got out of her car and closed the door behind her and walked up to the firehouse, in the meantime out in Stella's car Severide looked out through the windows in the car and then he went out of the car and walking up to the firehouse.

Shift had started and some of the guys was in the common room, Ritter had made breakfast for everyone. Mouch and Herrmann walked up to the kitchen island to grab some breakfast, both Mouch and Herrmann noticed that both Ritter and Gallo had more energy then they had after yesterday.

Herrmann - How, h-how do you guys got that much energy?

Mouch - We should not have tried to keep pace with them last night.

Cruz - You had three beers and then started dozing off.

Mouch - It was four.

The guys from the firehouse that was at Cruz's bachelor party they seemed like they all had a great time with each other even when there shift was the day after and everyone was tired but not hungover.

Herrmann took up food on his plate and walked over to where Gallo was standing g and he was taking pictures of Ritters dog Tuesday.

Herrmann - Why, um, why are you trying to turn Tuesday into Cindy Crawford? I need him for the 51 Insta.

Gallo - I need the perfect first post. Look, tons of houses have them now, and they post everything from fire safety tips to recipes. They're great community outreach, and people love seeing the day-to-day of a firehouse.

As usual Herrmann or Mouch never gets or even sometimes they never understand what either the young ones does like Ritter and Gallo.

Brooklyn's pov
I was in the firehouse and shift had started less then 30 minutes ago, I was standing in the tower with Casey actually he and I was talking a little bit.
I haven't seen Brett for a few days since she and Andy has been away and specially after what happened with Julie. But Casey and I was talking when we saw Brett walking around in the firehouse, I could see that she wasn't really okay and I can't blame her after everything that has happened.

Casey - Hey, how was Rockford?

Brett - Really, um, sad. And my... my parents came to the funeral, which was nice, and they met Scott.

I wasn't at Julie's funeral since I didn't know her that well and it was just better if Brett and Andy was there like they where since they are even closer family then me or anyone else from the firehouse.
Me and Stella didn't need to be at the funeral to show that we care about Brett because she knows damn well that we care about her, and for Julie I was at the hospital when she was in labor.
