Yoongi's mum called at some point during the evening, and, while the elder answered the phone, Jimin decided to take a shower.
His mother was excited as she told him all about her day and Yoongi smiled at her enthusiastic narration.
He would have wanted to tell her everything about what had recently happened between him and Jimin, but he knew it was all too early, all too rushed. He still needed to talk with the boy properly before venting to anyone else about how happy he made him feel, how full his heart felt at every kiss, every hug, so he decided to just stick to telling her a bit about university and the project he had done with Hoseok, without mentioning the boy too much.
After some minutes, though, just as he was about to say goodbye to his mother, Jimin opened the door of the bathroom and a thin cloud of steam from the shower filled the corridor.
Yoongi glanced at his direction and smiled, but he soon blushed a bright red color when he noticed him coming out of the bathroom without his usual fluffy bathrobe on and with only a towel around his hips instead.
The lean muscles of his abdomen were covered in little drops of water and his hair was messy. His glossy eyes turned to him immediately and he grinned back at Yoongi as soon as he noticed him already looking.
"Jimin is here, do you want to say hi?" he then asked his mother while she was already saying her last recommendations. He stood up from his spot at the kitchen table and walked towards the boy before she could answer, knowing all too well how fond she was of his friend.
Jimin bit his lip when he heard him and waited in the corridor for him to come closer, his fingers playing with a loose thread in the towel in the meantime.
Yoongi couldn't help but look down at his chest as he reached his side, at his soft, pink skin, skin he had touched the night before and also just minutes earlier while they made out on the couch.
He snapped out of his trance quickly, suddenly remembering he was still on the phone with his mother when she happily greeted the boy.
"It's so good to hear you, honey! How are you?"
The two of them started chatting naturally, like they always did even back at home, and Yoongi only stared at his roommate as he held his phone close to him.
Jimin lifted a hand at some point and left it on top of Yoongi's, apparently just to steady him and keep the phone closer to his mouth, but it was clear how his intentions were more specific as he took a step closer to Yoongi immediately after.
The elder smirked and left the phone in his hand, noticing how, despite Jimin's sudden need for his touch, his mother and him seemed to be too immersed in their conversation to require his contribution right now.
He walked around the boy right after and tightly hugged his waist from the back, his arms wrapped around his body protectively and his lips on his jugular as Jimin talked about his next exams in college.
His words rumbled in his throat, and Yoongi could feel every sound against his own skin while Jimin continued talking nonchalantly, not showing much reaction to their sudden closeness, apart from an initial tremble of his voice and a hand that immediately went to grip Yoongi's wrist at the contact.
His mother congratulated them both for their studies and Yoongi's mouth latched onto the younger's shoulder, causing the boy to gasp.
Jimin giggled and lightly pushed him away to prevent him from overstepping while his mother was still listening to them, but Yoongi only kissed his neck as the woman told them his father was calling for her from the other room.
"No problem, I'll call you tomorrow, okay? Say hi to dad!" Yoongi exclaimed when she told them she needed to go.
"Okay! Bye guys, I love you!"
