"Who is that?" Hoseok asked, tapping Yoongi on the shoulder and pointing with his chin at a spot right behind him.
When the other turned around, he immediately spotted a pink mop of hair on the other side of the college courtyard. The bright color was well known to him and the sight immediately put a smile on his face before he could even think about it.
Jimin had apparently just come out of his class. He was wearing his usual pair of dark sunglasses and, since it was hot outside, he had taken off his denim jacket and now the tanned skin of his arms was exposed. He was grinning and talking with a few of his friends and he evidently still hadn't noticed Yoongi.
It took Yoongi a few seconds to spot the cause of Hoseok's confusion.
Right beside Jimin, a hand on his shoulder and a similar smile on his own face, was standing another man. He was tall and handsome and he looked like he wasn't from Seoul. Everyone gathered around was listening to what he was saying. Yoongi recognized some of the students from Jimin's classmates.
They all looked joyful and engaged in the conversation, and Jimin was listening intently too, his eyes crinkled and his cheeks rosy.
Yoongi didn't know the man, actually. He looked like he was the same age as Jimin but he had never seen him when he had picked Jimin up after his study sessions with his study group or after his classes.
"I don't think I know him, actually..." he murmured, observing as the man laughed loudly and got in Jimin's space.
Yoongi's jaw unconsciously tightened at the sight of the man resting his forehead on Jimin's shoulder for a second while cackling before straightening up again.
He could feel Hoseok's eyes on him as he observed the scene, but he couldn't look away.
He knew he shouldn't have felt jealous of such a simple act when he didn't have a single doubt that it would have only been seen as friendly by Jimin, but still, observing that unknown man being so close and touchy with his boyfriend still made Yoongi feel slightly restless.
Hoseok cleared his throat and turned to him.
"He may be one of those new exchange students"
Yoongi looked at him then, brows furrowed.
"Exchange students?"
Hoseok shrugged before looking at the pair in front of them again.
"I heard that some of them arrived this semester and are staying for a few months. He may be one of them and Jimin is befriending him like he befriends almost everyone... Just, trying to make him feel included, you know? He is great at that"
He was. Jimin had always been a social butterfly, always kind with strangers and liked by everyone he met.
Yoongi was desperately trying to stop himself from overreacting, but that man was definitely starting to get too close to Jimin for his tastes.
That was why, without wasting another second, Yoongi started walking towards Jimin's friends.
He heard Hoseok following him, but he didn't turn to look at him. He only took a deep breath and flexed his fingers, trying to keep his composure.
It took Jimin just a few seconds to notice him, and, when he did, his face split up in a gorgeous grin. He immediately excused himself with his friends, touchy stranger included, and got out of the gathering.
Yoongi smiled back at the pink haired man and he noticed the other looking in his direction as Jimin ran to him. He looked surprised and Yoongi smirked.
