Graham and I were more active on our chat more than before.
I wanted to get to know him deeper.
But he said he couldn't see me on Friday because he was preparing for his final project he'd pass in May. Isang scale model daw ang kailangan niyang gawin out of recycled materials. Tapos mayro'ng 10-page plate siyang dapat din matapos bago mag-May—he had less than two weeks left to do that now.
I told him kahit 'wag na rin siya pumunta next week or the proceeding weeks because I was actually quite familiar with William's house now. I'll go alone na lang on Friday afternoon.
Although I'd miss him, I understood his busyness.
But then, he said kaya niya na next week, so he'll just see me then.
"Yes, ikaw?"
She shook her head and dramatically laid it on the table. "Bakit walang katapusan readings 'tsaka activities? Wala nang pahinga 'yong mata ko."
"Make a list," I suggested, "so that you can track the things you need to do. When you slowly finish, I swear you're going to realize that it wasn't time-consuming as you thought it to be."
Gwen pouted. I began to use my phone to pass the time. But Mari suddenly came into the room. So, the quiet atmosphere suddenly evaporated.
"Dani! Na-miss kita!" he was aiming for a hug, but I dodged it, making him open his arms wide for nothing. "OA, you've been gone for a day, Mari."
Gwen also did what I did, so Mari was left to sit down.
He looked really funny with brows furrowed and lips extending more than necessary.
"Mukha kang itik," tuwa kong saad. He sneered and pulled my hair to spite back at me. Natawa lang ako.
He told us his reason for being absent yesterday. Inayos niya raw ang papeles niya since his family and he will travel to Paris in June. He had to go to the embassy and such.
"Anyway, what did you guys do while I was gone?" Mari asked.
"Shapes in Math, sort of back to high school, basta geometry. Then, we learned the about equilibrium graph in Econ." I explained.
"Geometry?
By the end of my last class, naupo muna ako sa bench na nasa gilid ng Oble at tinignan ang phone.
Secretly, I was hoping Graham had messaged me, but he didn't leave anything. Baka patapos pa lang klase niya or nagdo-drawing siya.
Ako na lang ang nag-initiate.
Eloise Madrigal: we learned geometry yesterday tas naalala ko yong subject mong tunog menstruation
I looked outside the campus and saw the crowd in front of PGH.
