Chapter 33

1 month later
Amelia's POV

It was now the day before Christmas Eve. The 23rd of December and I was going to Brazil with Neymar to spend Christmas with his family. This is our first Christmas together and I'm so excited. We have been together for 6 months now and I couldn't be happier! We have had our ups and downs but we really do love each other with all our hearts.

As we walked through the airport to go to Brazil, we got ask many questions by paparazzi

"Neymar, do you like Sara still?"
"Amelia, why did you kiss Ronaldo?"
"When are you getting married"
"Put a ring on it Neymar"

We ignored all the questions but said hello to a few fans and took pictures and made our way to the plane, as we went into first class. We got many stares as people shouted our names. It was a bit of overwhelming after going through the airport with paparazzi following us now people shouting out names on the plane?

Me and Neymar settled into our bed, it was a seat than could turn into a bed. The flight attendant gave us blankets and we cuddled together as we watched a movie and got ready for a 10 hour flight.

"Are you okay Amelia?" Neymar asked as the plane began to take off remembering my fear of it. "Yeah just cuddle me" I said as he wrapped his arms around me and I did the same. He kissed my forehead as he hugged me tightly. "I love you Neymar" I said. "I love you more Ami" he said pecking my lips.

NEYMAR'S POV

We got a taxi to my house, it was around 11pm now so we would see all my family tomorrow. It was such a long flight to Brazil that Amelia began falling asleep on my shoulder. "Baby we are here" I gently rubbed her cheek making her eyes flutter open, I took her hand and our suitcases and went into my house. "I've never been here before" she exclaimed. "Do you like it?" I asked her. "I love it all your houses are so beautiful" she said resting her head on my shoulder. "Oh my god I'm in this picture" she said pointing on a picture on the wall of her last Christmas at Leo's house opening presents. That was when I spent Christmas with Leo and Anto. "My favourite picture" I winked at nee making her smile.

We went upstairs and got ready for bed when we were both ready for bed. We went out on the balcony and look at the beautiful views of my home town city. "The view is beautiful" I said wrapping my arm around her waist. "I know Neymar, you tell me I'm beautiful everyday" she giggled resting her head on my chest. I laughed at her sarcasm. That girl never fails to put a smile on my face and brighten my day!

CHRISTMAS EVE

Neymar's POV

It was now Christmas Eve and me and Amelia would be going to my parents house today. I woke up as Amelia laid on my chest. I stroked her hair as she slept and then she slowly woke up. 

"Morning beautiful" I said to her kissing her cheek. "Morning ney" she said kissing my cheek too. We went and got ready for the day and made our way downstairs for breakfast. We just had cereal because I didn't have much food at my house in Brazil because I don't be here often.

"Are we going to your parents today?" She asked me beginning to eat her cereal. "Yeah we are Linda" I smiled at her. "I'm kind of nervous" she said. "Why baby, you've met them before" I said holding her hands across the table. "I don't know to be honest ney, you know me I'm a nervous person" she said. "Yeah I know Ami, but it'll be okay I promise" I said pecking her lips. "I love you" she said smiling at me, god I loved her smile.

After breakfast we got in the car and made our way to my parents house. When we arrived, I knocked on the door. "Neymar, Amelia" my parents shouted wrapping us both in a warm hug. "We've missed you" they said said. "We have missed you too" we both said. "Amelia we are so glad you are here to spend Christmas with us" my dad said smiling at her. "What about me?" I said pretending to wipe a tear. "Eh you're here every year" my dad said sarcastically making Amelia giggle.

Amelia's POV

Neymar's parents wrapped us both in a warm welcomed hug as they opened the door. I saw Caroline in the distance as Neymar's parents let go of the hug. "Carol" I said hugging her tightly. "Amelia I've missed you" she said hugging me back. "I've missed you too" I said. I then saw Rafaella. "Rafa" I said hugging her tightly. "I've missed you" she said. "Awh I've missed you too Rafa" I said squeezing her with a hug. Then I saw the little blonde boy running towards me after hugging his dad. "Amelia" he said in a cute voice.
(Davi is younger in the book than he actually is)
"Davi" I said picking him up and hugging him. "Are you excited for Santa coming tonight" I asked him. "Yes" he said clapping his hands and jumping in my arms.

We sat in the living room and talked about everything that had happened since we all last saw each other. I sat beside Carol and Rafa as we watched some movie, I wasn't even watching  it ,I was playing on my phone as  it was extremely boring. It was about nature or something.

After the movie was finished we began to make dinner, I helped Nadine out with the dinner. "I'll help you" I said smiling at her. "Thank you so much Amelia, your an angel" she said smiling at me as I set the table. "No problem Nadine" I said. I helped her cook the dinner and clean as we made it. We laid the food on the table and everyone came rushing in.

I sat beside Carol and Rafa and Neymar sat across from me beside Davi and then his mum and dad were at the top of the table. "So who's excited for Christmas" Nadine asked. "Me Santa coming tonight" Davi said in a cute voice. "You'll have to be in bed early won't you" I said smiling at him. We continued eating chatting about everything, I loved how I felt so comfortable and welcome around his family. It made me so happy to kind of have like second parent figures as I never experienced it sadly.

After dinner we all helped to clean up, we then sat down in the living room with wine and played family sherrades and other games like twister, guess who, monopoly and even hide and seek at one point. Today has been an amazing day surrounded by all the ones I loved. When it was getting near Davi's bedtime, I put cookies and milk out for Santa with him and of course the carrot for the reindeer. I could see Neymar smiling as he watched us from the door. He always found it so cute how me and Davi instantly clicked and got on so well together. Neymar took Davi and put him to bed as he was staying at his grandparents for Christmas. Everyone said goodnight to him and then Neymar went upstairs and tucked him in.

"Me and Amelia will be going" Neymar said standing up followed by me.  "Bye have a nice night" everyone said hugging us goodbye as we walked outside. We got into Neymar's car and drove home. We got inside and got ready for bed. I laid down in bed and waited for Neymar. He got into bed and cuddled me "I can't wait for tomorrow morning" Neymar said smiling. "Why what have you got me?" I asked smirking. "That would ruin it all princess" he said looking at me. "So first me and you will open the presents we got each other in the house alone then we will go to my parents" he said smiling. "Sounds good" I said pecking his lips.

I called Leo and Anto then my friend Sasha who i actually want to visit soon. Me and Neymar cuddled till we fell asleep as usual
