Chapter 40

NEYMAR'S POV

I woke up hearing Amelia throw up in the bathroom it was morning sickness again. I quickly ran into the bathroom and held her hair back. When she had finished she rinsed her mouth as I waited outside the bathroom door when she came out I hugged her as she wrapped her arms around my waist and rested her head on my chest. "You get back into bed baby, I'll bring you up some breakfast" I said as I kissed her forehead. "Thank you ney" she said softly as she kissed my cheek and got back under the covers.

I started making us avocado and toast. I placed it on a tray with two cups of tea for us. I also brought up some tablets for Amelia to make her feel better. I walked upstairs and she was calling someone "Bye" she said. I placed the tray on the bed between us. I gave Amelia her tablets and we started eating. "Leo and Anto our coming over today, I have to tell Leo" she said.  "Does Anto know" I asked her. "Yeah she took the test with me because I was so scared and nervous at that time. I thought you'd be mad" she said. "No this baby is the best thing that'll ever happen to us" I smiled placing my hand on her stomach. "I love you" she said kissing my cheek.

I got ready as Leo would be coming around soon. I soon saw Amelia coming downstairs ready as I was sat on the sofa. "Are you okay baby?" I asked her opening my arms as she happily went into my embrace. "Yeah I'm feeling better" she smiled. "That's good" I said . "Also after this I've a doctors appointment go make sure our baby is okay" she said smiling. "I'm so excited, I can't wait to see our baby" I said kissing her lips. "Me too" she smiled at me and I heard a knock on the door. "That must be them" I said getting up as she followed me

We walked to the door and opened it to see just Leo there. "Hi bro " I hugged him. "Hi Leo" Amelia hugged him. "Where's Anto" I asked. "Oh she was busy with work so she stayed back" he said. "So Amelia Anto says you've something to tell me" he said to her sitting on the sofa beside me. "Well uh-" she stuttered. "Just say it Amelia" he said. "I'm pregnant" she finally spat out. "Awh congratulations sis" he said getting up and hugging her tightly. "Thanks Leo I thought you'd be mad" she said hugging him back. "Not at you" he smiled at her and glared towards me. "You" he said going towards  me. "I'm not mad it's just weird that my sister and best friend did that" he said awkwardly laughing. "I'm going to be an uncle o my god "he jumped happily hugging me and Amelia . "Let's play some Xbox" i said changing the topic.

Amelia's POV

I chilled in me and Neymar's room and then I realised our appointment was in 10 minutes. I ran downstairs to the living room to see Neymar and Leo playing Xbox . "Ney" I shouted.  "Yes" he said distracted obviously trying to win "We have to go the appointment is in ten minutes" I said razing my voice. "Okay" he said and continued playing I don't think he was even listening and Leo was completely zoned out. "Neymar" I shouted as I grabbed the remote and turned of the tv. "What the hell Amelia" Leo scuffed. "Tell your friend to listen to me when I speak to him" I sighed. "What is it Amelia" he asked. "Well I've been telling you for ages we have to go the appointment we're running late now" I sighed. "I just need to finish this game" he said and that's when I had enough if he wants to put a stupid game over our future child then he can do that.  "Come on Neymar" I sighed. "The game can wait" i said. "No it can't" he said. "Wow a game over our baby" i scoffed.

I stormed out the door and got into the car. I drove towards the clinic and waited in the waiting room. I soon got called in by a middle aged women. "Hello Ms Messi" she smiled. "Take a seat on the bed" she said. I laid on the bed and she started doing the ultrasound, I went to hold Neymar's hand because it was so cold but realised he wasn't there.  "Will I know the gender today?" I asked. "Yes only if you want" she smiled. "No I'd rather do that with the father" I said. "You can see your baby here" she pointing towards the screen. I couldn't stop smiling but also felt a sense of guilt that I went without Neymar because he was genuinely excited.  "I'll get you a copy of these" she smiled.  She went and handed me a few copies of the ultrasound and made me an appointment for a few weeks time.

I arrived home and saw that Leo was gone. I walked in to see Neymar sat on the sofa. "Where did you go?" He asked. "To our baby's ultrasound" I sighed. "Why did you go without me Amelia?" He asked sternly. "Because the game was obviously more important to you" i scuffed. "God Amelia your such a selfish little bitch, you could've waited but no you go to my own baby's first ultrasound without me" he shouted at me. "I know Neymar you don't have to make me more guilty than I already am" I shouted. "Shut up you selfish brat" he shouted as I ran upstairs. I went into the spare room and broke down crying.  Why am I so selfish? I thought to myself. I sat against the wall crying thinking so many negative things about myself.

I've been crying for ages now. Neymar has came and knocked on the door many times when he heard me crying. I decided I should go and apologise to him. I went downstairs still sobbing, Neymar was sitting at the kitchen table staring. "Ney" I cried. He immediately snapped out of his thoughts and came towards me with a hug.  "I'm so sorry for leaving without you ney, I immediately felt a sense of regret because I didn't have you there to hold my hand or be there to comfort me. I was just mad and I guess the pregnancy hormones did it" I sighed into his shoulder. "I know you hate me but I told the doctor I don't want to find out the gender without you" I said sobbing a little. "Linda it's okay, I forgive you and I don't hate you. I love you with all my heart" he smiled cupping my face and wiped my tears away with his thumb. "Did you mean the things you said about me?" I asked. "Of course I didn't and I'm so sorry Amelia" he said hugging me. "It's okay don't worry" I laughed.

"Wait ney I've something for you sit down"  I said pointing towards the sofa. I ran to my handbag and grabbed the ultrasound pictures. I sat on Neymar's knee and handed him the pictures. "This is our child" I smiled at him. I could see him smiling happily and a little tear in his eye. "I love you Amelia" he said bringing me into a tight hug. "I love you too baby" I smiled hugging him and wiping his tears.
