Chapter Nine

    Arriving in Jericho, the two girls walk to Weathervane immediately. They decided that they'd get coffee first and then go off and do whatever they came across. Walking into Weathervane, the two girls walk towards the counter. Tyler, the boy from the other night, looks up and looks in between the two girls. "Uh, hey, what can I get you two?"

"I'll have a mocha latte and.. What d'you want, Jay?" The brown haired girl asks, turning to her friend.

"Nothing from him, he might poison me." Jade scoffs looking at the boy with disgust.

Caroline laughs at the boy's bitter look. He sighs as he narrows his eyes at them. "Look, I don't know what I did to you two but-."

"What you did to us? You're a bully, you tortured me and the boys for years, and all the sudden you've changed? I call bullshit." Jade says incredulously.

Jade had told Caroline all about Tyler Galpin. He and his friends would nonstop bully Jade for being 'weird', they'd even tried taking Ajax's beanie once. When Jade tried warning them, they pushed her aside but luckily, the sheriff had walked in, so they stopped. Caroline glares at the boy, she's against people like him. He could be planning something. "Yeah, Tyler, what's up with that? Suddenly getting all cozy with a Nevermore student like you never hated them before."

"Okay, dude, back up." Tyler scoffs, leaning forward towards Caroline. "You barely got here and you're acting like you know everything."

"Well, those friends of yours have been talking about how you've gone 'soft' all of the sudden. So, that gives me more evidence."

Jade smirks at her friend before turning back to the boy. "You're a prick not even your bigot friends like you anymore" the girl laughs

"Ya know, you are a complete asshole I don't care if you've changed you're pathetic" Jade spits

After that whole ordeal, Caroline and Jade left Weathervane. Out of nowhere, Jade laughs as she thinks about what she's about to say. "Y'know, those pants make your ass look good for a short person."

"Hey! I'm not the only short one." Caroline crosses her arms as Jade laughs again.

"Yeah, but you're like, what? 4'9?"

"No, I'm actually 5'1. Wednesday and I are the same height."

"Damn. Your mother's pretty tall, you must get the short genes from your father." Caroline nods her head with a grin.

"Oh! And that top makes your boobs look big." Caroline smiles while Jade gasps dramatically.

"Are you saying my boobs are small?" A couple people they pass, give the two weird looks but they pay no attention to them.

"Yes, actually, I am."

"Well you can't say shit. You're like a pancake with a big ass." Caroline laughs at the taller girl's words.

"Well then, big ass gang."

As the two were passing a shop, Caroline glances over and gasps loudly. Jade looks over, only to see her already opening the door and walking in. Jade internally groans before walking after her. Scanning her eyes around the shop, Jade catches Caroline grinning widely at two frog plushies. One was pink while the other one was green.

Caroline turns to the taller girl with an excited grin on her face. "Jade! Look at these, they're so adorable. I have to get them! Can I get them?"

Jade chuckles and nods. "Get whatever you want, it's your money I don't care, just make sure you really want them."
