HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY EVERYBODY! As promised, this chapter is in Natalee's POV. [SPOILERS CONTAINED FROM WAKANDA FOREVER!!] This story is almost at its end. Thank you guys so much for your support, and enjoy this chapter!
We land in Wakanda. I fidget with my fingers. James walks up to me takes my hand in his and leads me off the plane. There's a beautiful woman and a young man awaiting our arrival. Uncle Bucky bows to the woman. "Princess Shuri, lovely to see you again, my princess." Shuri looks at him un-phased, "It's Queen Shuri now." Uncle Bucky winced. "As I've heard, I am terribly sorry for you losses." Shuri bows her head in acknowledgment. Uncle Bucky and Queen Shuri suddenly burst out laughing. James and I look at each other to see if the other knew what was going on.
"Oh my gosh. Next time we need to see how long we can stay formal before bursting out in laughter." Shuri sighs and gestures to the young man(That's about my age), "This is my nephew, Prince T'Challa. Son of King T'Challa." T'Challa and Uncle Bucky shake hands before Uncle Clint finally intercepts. "T'Challa, will you please direct us to The Library of Everything?"
T'Challa nods. "Of course, if you will follow me." Shuri shake her head. "Ah, ah, T'Challa! it's 'If you wish not will." T'Challa bows his head to his aunt. "Apoligies. If you wish, follow me."
T'Challa turned around a corner and entered a building. After we go through many doors and pass through many corridors, we arrive at the library. T'Challa holds the door open for us and we walk in. I gasp and marvel at the many, many, many books surrounding my body. "If you need any help finding anything, do allow me to assist." Uncle Clint dissmissed the young handsome Prince and then James called him back.
"Would you happen to know any book written by Natasha Romanoff?" James asks. I shoot him a confused glance. T'Challa tapped his chin. "Not that I recall, or if you're talking about Natalia Romanova. That's the closest thing we most likely have to your request."
"Sweet, where would it be?"
"Aisle 53, third floor, top shelf." T'Challa recited perfectly. "If that is all, I best be on my way." James nodded for him to leave and James lead the way to the third floor. After searching and searching for a book written by mom we finally gave up.
"Why . . .can't we find the dang book? And why . . .did Natasha use her given name?" Uncle Bucky cried.
"To rouse suspicion and that only the people that know her best would know what book it is." Uncle Clint responded, lying on a bronze wood table. James finally shouted. "I FOUND IT! I FOUND THE BOOK!" James clambered down from the ladder, almost tripping, before slapping mom's book on the bronze table Uncle Clint was laying on, barely missing his head.
"WOAH! Watch were you slam that thing, Stinker." Said Uncle Clint.
James winced, "Sorry, got a little over excited." Uncle Bucky shook his head. "That's an overstatement." James ignored Uncle Bucky's remark and flipped through the pages. I will never look at Uncle Bucky the same way again knowing he kissed my mother before she married my dad and had James. Ugh. Just sends shivers down my spine just thinking about it. Ugh. Uncle Bucky looks in my direction. "You scared, or cold? You shivering like that worries me. The last thing I need is you mother to come back from the dead to tell me I'm not taking care of her child correctly."
I shake my head. "I'm just cold," I lied. I smirk, "And besides, you are the one that trained her, so you can predict her moves right?" Uncle Bucky rubs the back of his neck. "Not Exactly."
"Uncle Clint," James sounded disturbed.
"Yea?"
"What happened in Budapest?" James asked.
Uncle Clint looked over James shoulder. "That's random, why?" James points a paragraph in the book. Uncle Clint's eyes grows wide. "Uuuuuuuuhhhhh." Uncle Bucky walks up to them. "What happened in Budapest, Barton?" Uncle Bucky looked over the passage, then, wide eyed, looked at Clint. "You did-what now?" Uncle Clint raises his hands in defeat. "She wanted to do it, I just followed her!" Uncle Bucky let his hand slide down from his eyes to his lower face. "That's why the Red Room was after her after graduation. Because you and Natasha blew up the Red Room Leader's Daughter up!"
I stood in shock. "YOU DID WHAT?" I look at him, my mouth open in shock. I place my left hand on my hip. "Anyone care to explain this to me?" James held out his index finger out into the air. "I'll do the honors!" I crossed my arms and listened. "I was so grateful for the fact that the person who was sopposed to eliminate me, is actually trying to help me get away from the Red Room. Ever since I saw what HYDRA did to James . . .I-I needed away out. and Clint was helping me. We had set a trap and placed a bomb in the girl's backpack and waited at a safe distance. I didn't want to do this to her, but I have to make a sacrifice. As soon as the girl reached her father's office, I pressed the button and the countdown begun. 10 . . .9 . . . After this the head of the Red Room will be dead and all the Widows will be able to live their own lives. 5 . . .4 . . . Clint rubbs my shoulder. I look into his eyes. 3 . . .2 . . .1 . I shut my eyes closed and all I hear is an explosion. Clint helped me up due to my sprain ankle and lead me to his flight."
"YOU HELPED HER!!!" Uncle Bucky and I shouted simultaneously.
"She needed a way out, I saw it in her eyes when I was supposed to assassinate her. Wouldn't you guys do the same?" Clint justified. We all nodded. James gasped abrutedly and looked at me. "Sacrifice." I then knew what he meant. Where all truth is revealed behind Space and Sacrifice.
