She was in high school and it all happened. Quinn was 17 at the time, and she was in math class and her teacher told them they'd get new student the next day and that his name was Matteo. On Tuesday during lunch Quinn was sitting with her friends Eliza and Jade and they both knew Quinn was single and Eliza asked " hey, Quinn are you excited to meet the new guy?" Wiggling her eyebrows and smirking and Jade chimed in saying " oh someone is blushing" Quinn had thrown her banana peel at Jade and told them to shut up,
but she had admitted she was excited.
By the time lunch was almost over Quinn decided to head to math class and as she walked in she saw the new kid sitting towards the back of the classroom working on some school work so Quinn walked and said "what's your name" "Matteo what's yours" she smiled "Quinn" Matteo was really nice and they talked for about 5 minutes, she had noticed a scar going down his left side of his face that she didn't ask about. The bell rang and the class was loud and filled with people and Miss. Crowe had Nolan introduce himself and he just said his name and continued with his Spanish homework.
Miss Crowe had MaKenna show him around and Quinn was jealous because she hoped that she could give him a tour. She had quickly developed feelings for Matteo.
That night after dinner at 9:45 Quinn called Jade and Eliza and just vented to them how sweet and handsome Matteo was. And Jade just said " called it, Eliza you know me 15 bucks."
Quinn just got off and hung up and screamed into her pillow, she stayed up all night thinking about ways that she could get close to him just decided to try to be his friend. When math rolled around the next day Quinn just kept taking small glances at Matteo, after she found out they lived in the same neighborhood she made it her goal to try and find his address.
Quinn went up to find Matteo after math and asked if he wanted to hang out and Matteo agreed and gave her a note with his address and his phone number under it, she had got home and she called Matteo and asked time she could come over and Nolan just replied with "anytime you want just let me know when you start to head over."
Quinn showed up a few minutes later and they hung out for three and a half hours. Quinn was always happy to see Matteo and they hung out every day, and they became best friends after that day.
They hung out everywhere, at Quinn's house, at Matteo's house, at the park, everywhere. Quinn's parents became very fond of Matteo and they knew a Quinn had a crush on him and thought it was cute. Quinn and Matteo had sleepovers too. They had stayed up all night together talking about their crushes and not wanting to tell him yet yet she made up a guy named Liam. But what Matteo said broke Quinn's heart as she said
"MaKenna the girl from my math class with really curly hair and freckles she is really funny and kind and sweet" "Oh, really. Well I hope y'all get together." After sitting in silence for about 5 minutes
Matteo asked Quinn "you wanna make popcorn and watch a movie?" Quinn happily agreed, they walk to the kitchen turned on the light and made a batch of popcorn and watched "Dirty Dancing" and stayed up all night.
