Together Forever

Awkward

Once Matteo had sat down Quinn asked to use the bathroom Matteo had looked over at her and gave a concerned look. She had gotten up and went to the bathroom on the other side of the school. She had sat down on the floor. After 2 minutes the door had opened and in walked Matteo, Quinn scrambled to her feet and looked up at him with a surprised look on her face that said it all Matteo got the memo and stuttered out "I-I asked to use the bathroom and I had a feeling you would be in this one because th-this is the one you always use" once he finished his sentence they heard footsteps coming and coming fast so he and Quinn both ran to the handicap stall to hide. 

They both stood on top of the toilet, so their faces were a few centimeters apart. Once they had shut the door the main door opened and in came a student, she walked over to the stall they were in and tried to open it Quinn said, "someone's in here".  She had readjusted herself, so it looked like she was sitting on the toilet just in case someone looked under to see if there were feet. They waited till the girl had left. They waited another minute just in case till they stepped out. Quinn had an angry yet confused look on her face. Matteo took that as his sign as to explain himself. 

"Ok so before you get mad at me, you weren't answering my text or my calls I wanted to make sure that we were ok. I know last time we saw each other things got....uhh... yeah" Matteo trailed off saying the last part quietly as if he was embarrassed. Quinn had just left at this point. 

After three minutes Quinn had returned to the class and two minutes later so did Matteo. They spent the whole class ignoring each other, but every once in a while Quinn would see Matteo looking at her out of the corner of her eye. Once the bell had rang Quinn has beat it out of there so fast there might as well have been a dust cloud behind her, Matteo tried to catch her, but he lost her in the huge crowd. Once the final bell had rang Matteo ran to his class knowing he was going to be late, the rest of the day went by rather fast. Matteo ran as fast out of school once last bell rang trying to find Quinn but once again no luck. The minute Quinn had gotten into her car she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. She drove home in silence.

Quinn hadn't even had her whole body in the doorway yet until her mom had run up to her and asked if Matteo wanted to come over for dinner. Quinn had a hesitant look on her face, but she had called Matteo to see if he wanted to come over and stay for dinner. He agreed but under one condition, that she explains herself.

 About 10 minutes later he showed up at her house, Quinns mom had told them that dinner would be ready in about 15-20 minutes, so they went up to Quinns room to talk. Quinn had taken a seat on one end of the bed while Matteo had sat on the other, they both sat there in a uncomfortable silence neither one of them daring to speak. That was until Quinn had cleared her throat in a very obvious way meaning that she was about to speak.

As she spoke, the only thing that had come out was "So this is weird but I just didn't want you to feel weird about what had happened between us so I just tried to avoid you but look how that turned out." Matteo chuckled "Quinn, nothing's weird, I just have a question for you, do you wanna be my girlfriend" his voice trailed off at the last part. Quinn had a smile on her face "I would love that" Matteo and Quinn shared a small kiss as her mom called them down for dinner.
