chapter three

Y/n pov
As I start to slowly open my eyes i am met with a huge headache. My hand clutches onto my head and I groan slightly as I sit up from the floor, I look around the room 'where am I?' I continue to look around and I see a girl sitting across from me 'she is quite beautiful' but I can't help but think of Clarke 'i wonder how she is doing, I hope she hasn't forgotten about me', the girl's head turns to face me with a surprised look on her face.

I am confused as to why she is surprised but I don't show it on my face, she moves closer to me and she speaks up "Yu laik awake" (you are awake) I didn't say anything and she speaks up again "chon Yu bilaik?"(Who are you?) This time I show the confusion on my face 'what is she saying' "chon yu bilaik?" She repeats the same words again "i-i am sorry but I don't know what you're saying" I finally speak up "oh so you speak English?" Now I can understand her "yeah I can and it seems like so can you.....w-what language was that you were speaking just then?"

"Uh uh an answer for an answer" I looked at her confused "earlier I asked you who you are" the realization kicked in "oh was that what that meant?" A smile forms on her lips 'god she has a beautiful smile' "yes that's what it meant" I let out a nervous chuckle "oh I'm sorry uh my name is y/n Jordan" she speaks up again "that's a pretty name" I try to hide the blush that's starting to show on my face "t-thankyou" me trying to hide my face from her failed as I see her smile slightly grow a little more now showing teeth as she lets out a little chuckle "you're very welcome it's nice to meet you y/n, my name is Lexa" I couldn't help but match her smile "you also have a pretty name Lexa and it's nice to meet you too" she laughs quietly "thankyou.....oh and uh the language i was speaking earlier" I kept my gaze on her gorgeous forest green eyes, god I could get lost in those green eyes. i completely forgot I asked the question "yeah?" She smiles again "it's called trigedaslang"

"Trigedaslang? I've never heard of that language before maybe..... you could teach me one day" I can see her blushing but I don't say anything "yeah maybe I can" there was a comfortable silence between us for a few moments before she speaks up again "so If you don't mind me asking....w-where did you come from?" She asked the question and I can tell in her voice that she didn't want to hurt me with asking the question but to be honest I'm ok with it and she didn't hurt me, she was actually really sweet about it "ok so this is probably going to sound a little crazy but I came from space" she looks confused "space?, What do you mean you came from space?"

A small smile forms on my lips and I explained to her everything about the ark and how we survived up there all these years and I explained to her everything that happened to me and my family and why they sent me down to earth "so yeah that's how my life was on the ark and I couldn't let my parents die so they sent me here. well they did have another option, they would've floated me into space" she furrowed her brows in confusion "floated?" I just remembered she doesn't know what that means "oh right yeah um so that means that they would've put me into the air shaft and seal the door shut and then open the other door and I would get sucked into space and because the is no air or gravity in space and I don't have a spacesuit on I basically die of being frozen to death and suffocation" a horrified look shows on her face and to be honest I don't blame her, it even scares me to just thinking about that

I almost had to go through that and my parents would've had to go through it too if I didn't speak up. "well I-i'm glad you didn't die, I'm glad you didn't have to go through it because you don't deserve that" tears start to fill my eyes but I blink away the tears as I take a shaky breath "you didn't deserve all the bad that has happened to you on the ark

You deserve to be treated with respect and cared for like you're the most important person in the world. I think I know exactly what to do" I am so confused on what she talking about "the commander and her soldier were talking and they would like to take you back to polis with them" she moves forward and moves her hand to my face and stops to looks up at me for approval. I nod my head and she continues as she wipes the tears that escaped from my eyes, she backs away and I blush slightly. I furrow my brows in confusion "the commander?"

"Yes" the next thing I know she gets up and starts speaking in trigedaslang I think she said it was "em's klir"(she's clear) and the door was unlocked and opened and two guards walk in and I immediately recognise the tall male figure "hey I know you, you're the one that knocked me out" the darker skin girl next to him snickered. He looks and meets my eyes "i-i am sorry for that, I hope you can forgive me" the darker skin girl looked shocked that he apologized to me and to be honest so was I "I had feeling you wouldn't have come with me willingly and I couldn't leave you there on your own so I did the first thing that came to mind, I apologize again" I can see the sadness in his eyes "i-it's ok I forgive you" a small smile forms on his lips "thankyou" our attention was brought back to Lexa "so you are the commander?" She locks her beautiful forest green eyes with mine "yes I am, are you surprised?"

"A little yeah because it just made me realise I was talking with the commander the whole time and I opened up to you, I-i told you things I have never told anyone before" she smiles softly "it's ok whatever we said stays between us I promise" I smile back at her "thankyou" she nods her head, then she turns her attention to the two guards "gustus, Indra get the horses ready" they both look at her "sha Heda"(yes commander) they say together we walk out of the cell and Lexa speaks up loud enough that all her warrior's can hear "we're going home" they all cheer

Lexa's pov
I walk into my room and I changed out those and back into my commander clothes and I put my sash back over my shoulder, i put my warpaint back on and I put the brass piece back on it's spot. I walk out my room to where the horses are with indra, gustus and y/n waiting for me, I can't help but smile when I see y/n. I walk up to her and she smiles "well I must say I kinda like this version of you more" she winks at me and I blush. I clear my throat "um thankyou" she smiles at me "the paint on your face completes the commander look, you look nice" I smile "this doesn't scare you?" She laughs "no not in the slightest, I've seen scarier things and trust me that's not scary at least not to me" 'god she is so beautiful, I hope she didn't see me blush and was she flirting with me? No Lexa stop thinking about it, to be commander is to be alone. Love is weakness, oh but I can't help it, god I have only known her for a few hours and I already have feelings? Maybe I should play along with her and see how she reacts. Yeah let's do that "so have you ever ridden a horse before?"

"No can't say I have" I smirk "it's alright you can ride with me and don't worry I'll be slow and gentle" she blushes and it's very visible. I Chuckle 'oh well that was easy' I walk over to my horse and y/n follows "alright let me help you up" she looks at my horse then back at me "ok" I can tell she's nervous by the way she looked and by how she said ok "it's alright I won't let you fall off I promise" that seems to calm her down "ok thankyou"

I put my hands on her hips and I can hear her breath hitch but I don't say anything, I gently lift her up onto my horse, she holds onto the reins tightly "are you alright?" I can tell she's scared, I would've too if I haven't ridden a horse before. it's now got me thinking what else hasn't she tried yet, there would've been only a curtain amount of things she can do on the ark. I wanna help her, I wanna show her all things we do here on the ground well the good parts at least. I wanna teach her our language and I wanna teach her all the things I know when in a fight, God now that I think about it I love Gustus's idea about her staying here with us. I want to get to know her more "yeah I'm alright" she says, I get onto my horse with ease and she moves back carefully so I can get in front of her and she wraps her arms around my waist. My breath hitches too and I suddenly get this feeling like butterflies in my stomach again, god this girl will be the death of me one day, she speaks up "is this ok?" I can't help but smile

"yes it's ok, and this is exactly what you should be doing if there are two people on the horse, to make sure you're safe too while the other person is riding the horse" she nods and smiles "alright come on girl" I say to my horse and she starts walking, y/n shakes a little but still holds onto me, my horse stops and I turn my head so I can see her "see I told I won't let you fall, as long as you keep a hold of me you won't fall ok?" She nods her "ok" I smile and I turn my head back to face the front. I pull on the reins a little bit and my horse starts walking "alright let's go home" and we head out of tondc
