no words could describe the amount of frustration you were feeling at the moment

you were infuriated with how the game had played out after Shidou's goal but you couldn't help the excitement running in your veins

First came Loki

He received the ball from Leonardo before turning to face you who had been matched up with him

he started off slow in his approach toward you as you began moving forward to reach him

since he was a national player, it was better not to let him get too close to the goal

there was also the fact that you had no clue what their abilities were so it was better not to risk it

he came to a stop and so did you, carefully observing his movements

when you thought the situation was clear, you ran forward to try and obtain control of the ball

that's when a smirk made its way into his features and he suddenly disappeared from your view

a harsh current of wind came from your right, almost causing you to tumble backwards

you turned your head back to see Loki dashing in an inhuman speed, comparable to or even better than Chigiri's

"my bad! someone, cover!" you shout

the more you watched him get further from your chasing figure, the more you couldn't grasp his ability

you are stuck between, speed and acceleration

every time he crossed one of your teammates, he seemed to accelerate

but the further you looked into it, you realized that he was running at a constant pace

compared to chigiri's speed, you could say his was more like Godspeed

even with the newfound information, there was nothing you could do as he had already reached your net

whistle

1-1

you stopped running and whipped sweat off your chin staring directly at Loki's back as he turned to face you with a smile on his face

ugh

man you wanted to hit him and tear down, piece by piece, the smile on his face but you knew better than to provoke a nationally known player

sigh

you scratched the top of your head with one hand while the other rested on your hip

that speed was going to be troublesome if you wanted to win, you'd have to figure out how to counter it quickly or you stood no chance

you stopped thinking when a shadow began covering your figure

instinctively, you moved out of the way to reveal shidou, unsurprisingly, crouched on the floor as he turned to face you
