Today was my first day, and I was excited.

I was nervously waiting, but thankfully the weekend flew by pretty smoothly.

In my head, it sounded like an easy job. However, I was working for Asher, and he basically already got on my nerves at the interview.

According to Ruby, Asher had paperwork he needed to file and many clients who wanted his help. It was basically piling up and he needed a second hand. I worked for him on the weekdays, and on the weekends I was free including holidays.

Well, at least he doesn't keep us working on holidays. I finished reading the email that was sent to me and got out of bed. I walked to the kitchen and tried to make a healthy breakfast. After that, I took a quick shower and got ready for work.

I wore this really pretty sky-blue suit and grabbed my purse and car keys and closed the front door behind me.

As I was on my way, my phone started randomly ringing. I stopped at a nearby cafe and picked up the phone.

"Hello?".

"Good Morning Loriana, it's Ruby. I was calling to let you know if you could grab some coffee for Asher. I completely forgot about it this morning. Please and thank you" she asked, in a panic.

"Yeah, of course", I responded and hung up the phone.

What is he five? Honestly, I'm pretty sure he can get a coffee all by himself. I thought to myself, "Maybe I should get him a sippy cup too!"

I got out of the car and got into the cafe. The problem now is that I am not sure what kind of coffee he would like. I texted Ruby asking her.

"A caramel cappuccino with a lot of caramel is his favorite, and it needs to be in a closed cup with no leaky spots, and a metal straw (he hates plastic). Thanks again Loriana." :)" He must be really particular about his coffee!

I ordered the coffee and drove to the building. I arrived at the tall building and grabbed everything from my car.

While walking I was greeted by a random handsome man. He seemed like a nice person to me.

"Good Morning, you must be Ms. Brown, I'm Felix one of Asher's closest friends and bodyguard. Everyone's talking about you in there". He said with a kind smile.

"Why are people talking about me?" I asked nervously.

"People are surprised at how fast you got hired. It usually takes at least a week for some of our colleagues to get hired", he said opening the door for the people behind me.

"Oh? Well, I guess I'm just lucky" I said. He smiled at me and nodded his head. I couldn't help but feel pride in my accomplishment.

I waved goodbye to Felix and headed to the receptionist. Her name was Gaby, she was very gorgeous, African-American and her hair was gorgeous and in such a healthy condition.
